- Our band is Mike, Teebs, Brian, and Ken. We hail from South Jersey and have been playing music together since high school.
- All of us love making music. It is our outlet for pushing creativity into the world and making it a more thoughtful and beautiful place.
- We are working to maximize the momentum from our debut, full-length album, Morning. With the crowd funding help of people like you, our album was a huge step forward for our band. It got air time on FM radio, was reviewed by multiple podcasts, and featured in music press. The album, along with your support, also helped us get named a top 4 Philly band by Radio 104.5 Philadelphia.
- We are so excited about the new material we've written, and we anticipate that it will get us in front of even bigger audiences.
What We Need
The songs we've written for this new album have deep personal meaning, and we want to create the best possible version of them. We are seeking to raise $4,500 for studio time, production, mixing, and mastering. With our new album we will be pushing our sound and our presence even further than we have in the past. Our last two recordings were self-produced and recorded at home. We will be recording our new album at a studio. This will enable us to capture the full energy of our live shows and the subtle musical textures we've created in our 10 new tracks. The campaign will also allow us to work with three separate producers for different aspects of our arrangements. Since our last two records were self-produced, it was hard to get objective feedback from an expert, outside voice. Working with producers while we record will give us critical ears to help us make this album shine.
Cost Breakdown for 10 song ablum:
- Studio Time for Drums: $400
- Studio Time for Guitars: $800
- Studio Time for Vocals: $800
- Mixing: $2200
- Mastering: $300
Project Total: $4,500
Though our goal is $4,500, we encourage you to PLEASE keep contributing even if we reach our goal. If our band raises more funds, we can accomplish even more and expand the reach of our album through things like a press and college radio campaigns.
What You Get
We've worked hard to create perks that are focused on community. We have built ways to enhance our ability to interact with you, whether you have followed us for years or are just hearing us for the first time. All the perks, including a handwritten thank you note from the band, adding your name to the liner notes on Band Camp, trying out craft beer with you at our preview listening party, and having you join us as a 5th band member, are about continuing to build the OOS family. ** Goal Perk** If we reach $3,000 we will rerecord our song 'Perkins' from 2002 and release it as a single for your listening pleasure! Also, YOUR name will be included in the lyrics of the recording if you helped out with the campaign.
