-----------------------------------------------
Thanks to our previous backers we've been able to add cross-platform support, ad-blocking, VI-keybindings, a download manager, and improved stability/performance via a massive architectural change. You can try it out here: https://next.atlas.engineer/download
We're working on our next major release which includes many new features:
- Smart searching across all tabs
- A package manager and repository for users to share useful packages
- Per tab isolation, proxy, and Tor support
- Live fuzzy search- everywhere
- Improved macOS performance
... And much more, see the full list below.
-----------------------------------------------
Most of the funding for the project has been coming out of our own pockets, but additional support will be very helpful, as our resources are limited. The funding you provide will help keep the project alive and allow us to maintain a focus on building a better browser, concretely, the funding will be used for:
- Developer time
- Server time
- Domain name costs
- Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the bottom 2 layers (food and shelter)
-----------------------------------------------
Next has been a passion project for almost three years. It arose out of a need to create a web browser more useful for something beyond merely "browsing". Modern browsers have eschewed power in favor of simplicity. This has led to a compromise in their capability.
Next tips the power balance the other way. Next is not designed for the common denominator, but rather for the expert tool user. It is infinitely customizable, and designed to make you more productive, in whatever you do.
-----------------------------------------------
Next is now at a stage where you can use it as your daily driver. It includes all of the standard functionality that one would expect in a browser.
- Ad-blocking
- Link hinting navigation
- A download manager
- VI bindings
- Javascript blocker
- Tree based history
- Jump to headings
- Fuzzy tab searching
... See the manual for the full list :) (https://next.atlas.engineer/documentation)
Of course some of those features still have room for improvement and polish, which we will also do with the funding from this campaign!
-----------------------------------------------
If you haven't already, please star or follow the project on GitHub (https://github.com/atlas-engineer/next), it means a lot to us and really increases the visibility of the project.
Other things that you can do involve helping spread the word to your friends via messages, social media, etc.
Visit the official project website: https://next.atlas.engineer.

Lastly, we would like to offer some words of gratitude for those who have contributed to Next in the past in the form of funding, pull requests, issues, support, words of encouragement, and more. Thank you so much for making this project possible. I hope that together we can make the world if not a better place, at least a more productive one!
