A cosa servirà il tuo contributo?

Contribuirà al 60% delle spese per portare i nostri ospiti dal Giappone.

Contribuirà al 50% dell'organizzazione delle proiezioni in programma presso il Piccolo Teatro del Baraccano.

Comunicare l’evento è fondamentale per far crescere NipPop, e far sì che abbia una eco sempre maggiore a Bologna, in Italia e nel Web.

Per la sua sesta edizione, NipPop sceglie di concentrarsi sulla science fiction made in Japan. E’ innegabile infatti il fortissimo impatto che questo tema ha esercitato sull’immaginario popolare globale: da Ghost in the shell ai vari Godzilla, da Akira a Metropolis e Summer Wars, la fantascienza
giapponese ha plasmato la nostra visione del presente e del futuro.
Il programma di quest'anno sarà concentrato su due focus principali che comprendono incontri, mostre, workshop e proiezioni: The Legacy of Evangelion Exhibition, evento dedicato alla famosissima saga degli anni 90 del secolo scorso, realizzata in collaborazione con Evangelion Italian Fan, Distopia Evangelion e l'artista Ivan Ricci, e L'universo di Leiji Matsumoto, mostra delle opere originali del famoso autore di Capitan Harlock in collaborazione con l'Associazione Culturale Leiji Matsumoto.

Nippop 2016: Words and Forms from Tokyo to Bologna
Kickstarted in 2011 in collaboration with the Scuola di Lingue e Letterature, Traduzione e Interpretazione at the University of Bologna, NipPop has become a central event for those who wish to see more Japanese culture on Italian soil.

The Cultural Association NipPop aims to:
organize and promote projects focused on Japanese culture, such as meetings, concerts, conferences, exhibitions of art and photography, film festivals, recreational activities;
share on the internet materials from these events, and any useful information for a complete and meaningful analysis of Japanese culture;
produce publications related to exhibitions, events or conferences branded NipPop.
Contributing to our initiative means we can steadily grow and organize bigger and better events with big names from the world of Japanese culture.
What will your contribution do?
it will cover 60% of the costs in bringing or guests over from Japan.
It will cover 50% of the costs related to the screenings planned at the Piccolo Teatro del Baraccano.
It will cover 50% of ads and PR costs, so that the event can gain more and more relevance and resonance.
It will cover 50% of technology and logistics expenses.
For its sixth edition, NipPop is focusing on science fiction made in Japan, and the impact it has on the public imagination: from Godzilla to Ghost in the Shell, from Akira to Summer Wars, Japan's sci fi has molded our perception of the future and its possibilities.
Two pieces will constitute the fulcrum of this year's rich array of events, talks and workshops: The Legacy of Evangelion Exhibition, a show dedicated to the famous 90s series, made possible by our collaboration with Evangelion Italian Fan Club, Distopia Evangelion and the artist Ivan Ricci; and L'Universo di Leiji Matsumoto, an exhibition of original works from the author of Captain Harlock and others, in collaboration with Associazione Culturale Leiji Matsumoto.
Among the guests, authors Asano Atsuko and Takano Fumio; voice actor Ivo de Palma, Ian Condry of the Massachussets Institute of Technology; Chris Goto-Jones of Leiden University; Sharalyn Orbaugh of British Columbia University; and many other researchers, translators and artists from Italy and beyond.
