Something is amiss in Northshore.
Vivacious and popular Charlotte Reynolds is found brutally
murdered a week before her seventeenth birthday. Her death is the first in a
series of brutal murders that begin to plague a small-town community in the
spring of 1992. What begins as local tragedy soon spirals into a collective
consternation, as the residents escalate into hysteria.
Northshore follows sixteen-year old Larissa Lannigan as
she grapples with the implications of her best friend’s murder and observes the
gradual metamorphosis of her community through the lens of her own youthful
subjectivity.
Overview:
Northshore is David Fu's senior thesis film at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The film will be shot in both New York and North Andover, MA, thereby marrying the two landscapes that have helped inform his creative obsessions. Principal photography begins in April, but we need your help before we can get there!
What your money is going towards!
Although we've been awarded the NYU thesis allotment and have saved approximately $3,000 in personal funds, we still require your help in reaching our budget goal of $12,000 to make this film possible. We've carefully planned out what the money will be allocated toward so that every dollar counts.
Even the smallest donation will make all the difference!
In addition, if you are local to the North Andover area and are interested in helping out in any way (transportation, catering, being an extra in the film), please contact us at northshore.nyu15@gmail.com.
Meet the crew!

David is currently a senior in his last semester at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In addition to having written and directed a number of short films, he recently held an internship at the last season of The Colbert Report. His last film, Halcyon Summer, was an adaptation of a two-page passage from David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest. Northshore is his senior thesis film. Aside from writing and filmmaking, David enjoys sushi, long walks in the park, and snuggling with kittens.

After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he served as head of production for an e-learning startup called Tyngu before leaving to create and collaborate on films and television. When he's not working on films, you can probably find him playing with his dogs or eating Chipotle.
Kristina Rathjen - Assistant Director

Kristina Rathjen is a senior finishing up her education at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, focusing her education on producing and coordinating. She has worked at such exotic locations as CNN, MTV2, and NFL Films. Kristina's life goal is to travel the world on someone else's dime. Until she achieves this, she fills her free time hanging with her sorority sisters, playing guitar, and leading as a team captain for NYU's Relay for Life.
Jeremy Stebens - Production Designer
