It is a late-night shift at the local grocery store when fifteen-year-old Tess is dropped off by her father to pick up some tampons. Already embarrassed and hiding from the odd Tuesday night regulars, she unexpectedly bumps into her high school heartthrob, Jake, who is working a double shift. She must conquer her fears and make her grand escape without Jake figuring out the truth behind her visit.

The money donated will be going towards the different departments and their needs to make the vision come to life. Production design will need things such as rebranding grocery store-specific products and incorporating a select color palette to bridge our world and Tess’ world together. Camera and G/E will need to invest in a customized package that will allow us to utilize the location that we are working in. The production itself has many needs from catering for the crew, Covid-19 supplies, and transportation to ensure safe travels between Savannah and the Location. All of these items play a big role in the production and with your help, we will be able to overcome many of our anticipated obstacles.

Now more than ever, people need a reason to smile, the way I do when I find a film that means so much to me. That is why I believe this is the perfect time to share my script with the world so that we can all share a laugh together once more. I have been working on this script for a year now, bringing together a team I can trust, so that we can execute a film that not only we are proud of, but one you believe in as well. Thank you so much for your time and consideration, we can’t wait to get started on production for Not My Department.

For most people, you have seen me as the producer of many promising projects, but never the director. I can say with confidence that with much pre-production I am ready to take a seat in the director’s chair. After a year of crafting my characters carefully, working alongside my trusted Director of Photography (Ned Cooper) and Creative Producer (Jordan Vescio), I am thrilled to present this short film to you. Your support would mean the world to me to create this film that discusses something not only I am passionate about but also relieves the tension of the awkward period conversation in a hopeful comedic way. I believe this film and the mashing up of a heavy topic like the female reproductive system along with an unusual rom-com it would allow the audience to feel comfortable discussing things like tampons and periods in the future.

There are other ways you can help support this project which include word-of-mouth and sharing this campaign through the Indiegogo sharing tools. The more people we can reach the closer we can get to our goal. Every little thing helps!
