We're really excited to record ‘Permission’, our biggest studio album to date. We just need your help to get there! 

We are an International 10 piece formed of musicians, producers, vocalists & MCs. So far we have three official releases, receiving acclaim from BBC 1 Extra, BBC 6 Music, Radio 2 Jazz, Craig Charles, David Rodigan, Huey Morgan, Songlines Magazine, The Independent, The Guardian and more. Having spent 5 years grafting our place in the UK & European music scene and refining our sound, we are ready to make our most important record yet. 

After a whole year of writing new material we can’t wait to show the world our next offering. A sound that finds itself at home in the UK jazz scene, fused with influences from Mali, Ghana, Morocco and Nigeria, all with a nod to UK dance music and analogue dub processing. Alongside the 10 musicians in the Nubiyan Twist family we have been collaborating with international vocalists such as K.O.G (Ghana) and Dessi Stefanova (Bulgaria), with more in the pipeline. The album will be a synergy of different musical cultures, deep grooves and improvisation. The concept of the album reflects the music with ideas of collectiveness and individuality: connecting different people and cultures whilst exporing the journey of an individual.

Todays music industry is a difficult place for up-and-coming artists who often have to cover the costs of developing, recording, mixing, mastering, manufacturing and promoting their music. An undertaking made even more financially challenging for a 10 piece band like us. Your backing will go towards; enabling 10 musicians + a team of engineers to work in top quality studios for two months recording and mixing the record, artist and designer fees for the record sleeve, manufacturing costs of CDs and Vinyls, marketing and PR costs. This is why we are asking for your generosity, without which we simply wouldn't be able to make this happen. 

The final result: a full length Nubiyan Twist album beautifully recorded, mixed and mastered, on digital, CD and Vinyl. A landmark in our career that we can proudly share with you and the rest of the world! 

Alongside our campaign we will be releasing interviews from all our crew to give you an insider’s perspective of how our band came to be and how we are developing.
