Hey! We’re the team behind the short “Number 27”. We’re all first-year Film students at Swinburne University so crowdfunding is essential and everything (big or small) is SUPER appreciated!
We need the money in order to fund our costumes, props, practical effects and food on shoots.

The project is incredibly important to the team as a way of solidifying their interest in film-making, growing and strengthening their skill-sets. Any and all support from this crowd-funding page would be incredibly helpful and instrumental in the development of the film.
- Lucas Dew (19) is an aspiring writer and director behind ‘Number 27’. Lucas feels closely connected to the story and themes of the film, being from a working-class background, and a fond love of both science-fiction and thriller films and stories from a young age. He has experience in both writing and directing projects throughout high school.
- Liam Doyle (19) the Producer is fresh out of school after graduating in 2019 Liam has dabbled in directing and acting. Liam has had experience in theatre and performed in some amateur shows but now is interested in transferring screen. He’s now trying out producing in this project.
- Ryan Hook (19) the shorts Cinematographer graduated H.S in 2018. He really enjoys writing and directing comedy, thriller and horror videos; and has had previous experience acting in short films, in productions as well as directing plays. This is the first serious film making experience he has been a part of and looks forward to broadening and strengthening his Cinematography skill-set while branching out into Sci-Fi territory.
- Zac Fleiszig (20) is the editor for the short. He has been editing with adobe suite for roughly 6 years now, specializing in Premiere Pro. Zac graduated H.S in 2017, followed by a volunteer-based gap year program to Israel. Zac is very excited to have full control over the Post-Production Editing Process, as he wants to challenge himself and go beyond everything he's previously made. The themes of the short are in Zac’s eyes some of the most important humanitarian issues that no one is talking about these days and hopes it will reach and touch viewers.

There are clear challenges the team has to overcome; hitting the dates required by our course, intensive VFX work for our Editor, planning, executing our intended vision within our means. And we’re going to hit all these through our dedication to the project and close teamwork, solving problems on the go and making the best movie we can!
