Let’s save the alarms for fires, burglaries and submarines. We researched the best tones, tempos and frequencies to wake you up. Then we asked Jon Natchez from The War on Drugs to create a collection of musical compositions to lift you out of sleep in a peaceful, more natural way.
We believe the only thing better than sleep is waking up. Because that’s where all the love starts. We believe in waking up better, so you can live better and breathe better and think better.
Make your bedroom your sanctuary, without all the gadgets and devices that seem to sneak stress and distractions in between the sheets with you. OneClock is designed to disconnect, so all you have is you, your thoughts, and perhaps a significant other in bed with you - human, canine, or feline.
There’s a growing body of sonic research outlining the importance of waking up correctly and its effect on our mood and behavior. OneClock’s sounds are designed to wake you gently and reliably.
You deserve better, so we created a new way to wake up with Jon Natchez, renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist of The War on Drugs. OneClock’s compositions are original recordings, not available elsewhere, and feature 20+ instruments that create a warm, organic and non-digital soundtrack to start your day.
Jon won a 2018 Grammy as a member of The War on Drugs, was formerly a member of the acclaimed group Beirut, and has performed and recorded with David Byrne, St. Vincent, Taylor Mac, Father John Misty, and Liza Minnelli, among many others. He has composed scores for numerous films and has contributed to over 100 albums, composing and arranging as well as playing more than 30 instruments.

AI music generator
Humans can suffer from alarm fatigue and become desensitized to sounds they hear over and over. When OneClock’s alarm is activated, our AI music generator will randomly choose one of the songs stored on the clock’s solid state memory and remix it by adjusting the levels of each instrument or vocal for infinite combinations. It’s subtle, but noticeable and you will never hear OneClock’s songs the same way twice. Ever.
Timeless analog design + slow-tech philosophy
Warm, organic, minimalism meets an analog and tactile experience that’s built to last a lifetime with high quality, sustainably sourced components. In our current culture of Amazon/Walmart convenience, the approach we took was unorthodox. We prioritized design and quality over price to create a product that is enjoyable to experience amongst other cherished heirloom objects in your home.

Warranty
Lifetime warranties typically come with a lot of fine print that often amounts to nothing more than a marketing ploy. Why Indiegogo?
Crowdfunding gives us the freedom to run our business exactly how we want. The revenue we generate here makes it possible for us to continue developing products without seeking outside funding. This allows us to focus on doing what we love: designing and bringing our visions to life, supported by an incredible community of like minded individuals that appreciate our philosophy.
We also deeply value the ability to have the Kickstarter community influence our products (who’s our next musician?!?) through feedback and direct participation in our design process.

Risks and challenges
Our team has invaluable industry experience bringing hardware products to market from concept through manufacturing. Over our 20+ years in the industry, we’ve learned first hand about the challenges, and rewards, at each step in the process.
From Day 1, we stated our desire to ONLY launch a crowdfunding campaign if we were 100% confident in our ability to deliver the product we had envisioned. We are proud to say that our prototype has been through several iterations of testing and is now in the final stages of refinement. We have also engaged all the necessary partners to bring OneClock to life - musicians, parts suppliers, assembly, fulfillment and everything in between.
As with any hardware product - particularly when mass manufacturing - there is always a risk of delays, with possible issues arising in any point of the design, manufacturing and certification processes. However, we have identified risk areas, mitigated against these, and accounted for adequate testing time at every stage of our upcoming process. And, no matter how much we try and control all the variables, things can still go awry. If they do, we promise to give you full transparency into the issues and solve them in a way that leaves our backers happy and proud to support our company.
