Hi, my name is Cory Crosby; I am a serial entrepreneur, business coach, children's book author and part-owner of a new company, GoMunchies LLC which was created by a local developer, Daniel Evans. After several meetings and Mr. Evans and I share ideas and our visions as entrepreneurs in Columbia, it was a no brainer that we partner up to maximize the GoMunchies potential. 

What is GoMunchies?  GoMunchies Delivery is a digital convenience store delivery service that allows people to purchase items typically found in a convenience store through via online or our mobile app and get it delivered right to their doorsteps or workplace.

GoMunchies is pretty simple! users can order any of the items we keep in our inventory online or via the Go Munchies app and get the items delivered to their doorsteps or workplace. GoMunchies delivers the typical food & beverage items found in convenience stores such as chips, cookies, sodas, candy, (etc.), even toiletries,  alcohol and tobacco products. 

Customers: Customers select items to meet a minimum of $9 purchase. GoMunchies charges $1.95 delivery fee unless the customer spends $49 or more. In that case, the fee is waived.

Alcohol & Tobacco: If customers want to buy alcohol, they first have to scan their IDs through the app. GoMunchies confirms whether they’re valid before any credit cards are charged. When the GoMunchies driver arrives with the delivery, they will check to make sure the credit card matches the ID.

The Business: GoMunchies is fully licensed and incorporated. Once we have a location we will apply for a liquor license which is needed in order to sell 

Drivers: All GoMunchies Drivers will undergo a drug and alcohol screening, background test, be required to carry insurance as well as obtain a permit to deliver alcohol. Drivers will receive an hourly wage as well as their tips. 

We are NOT raising money to finish the GoMunchies desktop and mobile app, which is just our platform for selling and delivering convenience store items to our munchies having and soon to be customers. 

We are actually raising money on IndieGoGo to stock up on inventory and to help us acquire a location to house our inventory. Our goal is to offer at least 500 products to start with, giving our customers a large variety of options.

Upon launching GoMunchies and acquiring proper licenses to operate (Currently fully licensed and incorporated, with pending trademark) we encountered a very small problem that forced us to completely change our delivery service platform. 

Our original goal was to partner with local convenient stores who sell their products to our users through the GoMunchies desktop and mobile delivery app, which allows store owners to import and track the inventory and sales of the products they want available in the GoMunchies "digital convenience store" for a fee of 7-10% of all sales and access to our drivers who handle all deliveries. But, after learning that in order for us deliver alcohol and tobacco products to users of the GoMunchies app, we have to offer the option of pick-up from a physical location, we changed up our platform once more! 

This is actually a problem we have solved and why we are asking for you to help us raise some money for a physical location and start-up inventory. 

A plus side to having to have a physical location to offer pick-up in order to be able to deliver alcohol and tobacco products, we eliminate an extra step in our fulfillment and delivery process, can pay our drivers more and with no need for middlemen vendors we can focus on creating more local jobs that will be needed for processing orders.  

OTHER CHALLENGES: 

GoMunchies LLC will be the first online convenience store in Columbia, Missouri, which means we are breaking into a brand new market and competing with local convenience stores with physical locations. However, we will have a competitive advantage which is our products being available via online and mobile app store, and of course the delivery of products once purchased by users. 

Food delivery companies like GrubHub and DoorDash are competitors only because the delivery, but unlike these companies, GoMunchies has a specific focus which is built around selling our own inventory of convenience store like products without the use of any third party vendors. 

Funding is a challenge as well, which is why we are so thankful for the IndieGoGo platform which allows for entrepreneurs to rally support from some really awesome people, friends, family, community and even other entrepreneurs to help make a really cool business like GoMunchies a reality.
