Opera on Tap Seattle

Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or elitist art form by bringing it to bars. Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera's best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

The Seattle chapter of Opera on Tap has been going strong for 2 years! We've been featured on the cover of Seattle Weekly's 2012 Spring Arts issue, in Seattle Met Magazine, Seattle Magazine, Times, PI, several other publications, and on King 5 News

Opera on Tap OperaTober

October is Opera on Tap's National Annual Fundraising month. All the chapters across the country come together to raise funds for each individual city, as well as our organization as a whole.

All money raised during the month of OperaTober will be split 50/50, with half going to our Headquarters and half to our very own Seattle chapter.

• On a National level, we'd like to hire a bookkeeper! This will equal out to roughly $500-1000 a month. 
• For Seattle, we'd like to keep funding for our monthly shows! Operational costs, to be technical. We believe each performer should be paid.
• For Seattle, New Projects! Funding for collaborative efforts with other local organizations, directors, musicians, and venues.
