ORDINARY DAYS
Two love stories in twenty-one parts
Three years ago, we presented a reading of Adam Gwon's wonderful new music-theater piece, ORDINARY DAYS. Performed by a fabulous cast under the musical direction of Mindy Eschedor, it was a big hit with our audiences, many of whom begged us to present a fully-staged production.
Next month, their wish is coming true! We have re-assembled the same great team of integrated singer-actors: Kersten Rodau, Doug Scholz-Carlson, Jill Anna Ponasik, and Max Wojtanowicz. Mindy will be back as music director, and the production will be staged by Nautilus' artistic director Ben Krywosz, with sets and costumes by Victoria Petrovich, and lighting design by Michael Wangen.
ORDINARY DAYS tells the interwoven stories of two couples -- Jason is about to move in with his long-time girlfriend Claire, while Deb and Warren unexpectedly stumble into each others' lives. Join them as they maneuver through the complexity of making connections, learning to find the sacred in the secular and the magical in the mundane.
This will be our first production IN OUR NEW SPACE -- it's the same building in Lowertown Saint Paul, but now we are on the first floor, with easier access, taller ceilings, and a little more breathing room! Were you among the lucky few who were able to see our studio productions of JOAN OF ARC and THE VIEW FROM HERE? Here's a chance to support the same kind of intimate music-theater that you have come to expect from Nautilus -- performances that are emotionally expansive, dramatically engaging, and spiritually stimulating!
We received a very generous grant from the Lowertown Future Fund, but we still need your help! Look over our levels of support, and pick one that works for you. Of course, Nautilus is a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit organization, so your gift is fully tax-deductible! Any donation you make will help keep us on budget, and ensure that you will be able to see this charming piece of musical storytelling. We guarantee that you'll come out of our little theater with a smile on your face, a song in your heart, and a renewed appreciation of the little things and big people in your own ordinary days!
Thank you for your support, and we hope to hear from you soon!
