OVERVIEW
This Our Lady of Fatima Triptych is an original work by Michael Corsini. The image is painted on solid oak! It is a landmark image, as there has not been a painting of Our Lady of Fatima portrayed as she appeared to the seers as Our Lady of Mount Carmel like this before! The miracle of the Sun is also depicted here. It is witnessed by thousands of angels and saints, as well as the onlookers in the ground. Elijah and St. Simon Stock adorn the flanks of the triptych, mystically viewing the miracle. I am overjoyed that the original painting will be installed in the newly constructed St. Albert friary chapel in Middletown NY, and will be a center of prayer for the friars. BIO
My name is Michael Corsini and I am a painter. I am a husband, to my beautiful wife Jessie, and father of five little ones. I have been creating works of art for healing and renewal for nearly two decades. I have a BFA from Ringling School of Art and Design as well as a MTS from the John Paul Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. I also spent 5 years in temporary vows as a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, in discernment of religious life. Accordingly I have a deep love of the religious life… I believe that in this time, bringing new beauty to the chapel of a contemplative religious community like the Carmelites, is an essential work!
GOAL
I have a personal goal of raising $5,000 for the project as it is so large! But any contribution amount is very much appreciated!
Risks & Challenges
My biggest challenge is that I am doing this on my own… (well with lots of moral support from my kids!) I will be handling all the prints and fulfilling orders myself. I’ll be personally working with the printers, doing the packaging, and in some form, delivering them to you. This will extend the timeline on delivery, but I will personally vouch for each patrons’ order!
