Pancake Man!

This is a story of a man who got pushed to the edge and now is taking revenge. We hope the title is not too misleading. It is not a guy in a pancake mask walking down the street killing people randomly. That sounds fun as well but this is a much more complex story. With each kill in our epic tale there is a reason. With every action there is a reaction. The killing spree starts a chain of events from complete strangers that  ultimately ends in a Mexican stand off between a petty crime gang, a mob bosses son, an innocent cafe staff and the Pancake Man himself. This film is a cross between "Falling Down" , "Resevior Dogs" , "Lock Stock and two smoking barrels"  with tons of bloody kills.

My Name is Bron Theron and I am a writer and director. I just finished a feature called Half Dead Fred. I am currently traveling to show that film in theaters across the states. I teamed up with Mike Della Pia and Derek Easley Entertainment ( Derek and Megan) to bring this next story to light. I am interested in quality over quantity. I also donate to Indiegogo campaigns and I love independent film. I have met so many people in the Indiegogo circle and most of us share the same goal. We want to make a good story happen. We want to be noticed for our skills, and we don't want our money to be wasted! This project as well as any of the films I put my name on I can promise it will get done and it will get out into the world. My name is Mike Della Pia and I am a producer and actor. I have acted in 15 films to date and produced 12. My love for film is something that has been with me as far back as I can remember so I am grateful and excited about finally being able to be part of something as big as Pancake Man. I will be playing the lead character (Jerry, Pancake Man) and will be involved with the entire process in turning this project into a reality. I am also really involved in the independent film community and have supported lots of campaigns, helping my friends get their dream project off the ground. We are Derek and Megan Easley of Derek Easley Entertainment, and we are very excited to be Producers on Pancake Man! We both have had an obsession for movies our whole lives and worked really hard to help independent storytellers succeed and grow. We own the Long Beach Acting and Film Association, a networking and educational group, where we met Bron Theron. We’ve since collaborated with him on Long Beach film workshops, movie screenings, and Bron’s last feature. We met Michael Della Pia through Bron online, but in person on set coincidentally for an indie horror film we were working on. We can’t begin to tell you how great Bron & Mike are as people and filmmakers, and we are so excited to be working with them!

We produce a lot of commercial marketing content with Derek Easley Entertainment, and our videos have reached hundreds of millions of viewers and acquired over a billion unique impressions on social media for our clients. We’ve produced content for eBay and other big brands, and Derek has in some form or another (whether acting, producing, marketing, or as a crew member) worked at all the major studios from Paramount, Disney, Warner Bros., Sony, etc., during his 23 years in the entertainment industry. Megan has a background in anthropology and has run our company since 2018, becoming a proficient drone & camera operator, and editor herself. But indie film projects are our passion, and since 2021, we’ve helped out with producing on these awesome projects from talented filmmakers: Who Dunt Dunt Dunnit?, Xanadu Hellfire, Half Dead Fred, Bermuda Island, Late Checkout, Composure, Isleen Pines, Alien Planet, and Wolf Hollow. We love horror, and we love good stories, so we can’t wait for you to see PANCAKE MAN! Hope you can be a part of it.

What We Need & What You Get

For this film we need lots of fx and fight choreography. We also need some real characteristic locations. We also need a few cameos from celebrities. 

The perks are designed for participants to be a part of this film in a way that not only makes the project look good but also the backer. Casting takes a different approach at the acting perks. we find out who can best suit the role. If you really like slasher films and want to be a producer we can make that happen. This film is very important to us as the main producers and we really are looking for people that are passionate about the story and filmmaking as a whole. 

Since all the producers on this film have donated to other campaigns we know how important it is that the backer gets what he or she wants.  We run very good communication and plan to have the best time before, during, and after this film.

The Impact

This film will have a real impact for the genre. Everyone likes revenge stories. This genre has a fanbase of it's own. The action itself is a huge crowd draw and the story is solid. There is no doubt people will love this film. There is no doubt the movie will have some great quotable lines.

Risks & Challenges

Every film that has ever been made was a risk. Will it make money, will they even finish?

My worst fear is to donate money to a campaign that never finishes the film. It has happened to me. I know I will never let that happen no matter how much we get from this campaign. We have other investors and the film will get made. It is always a risk on many different levels but without risk there is no reward. There are independent movies that are making millions in the theater right now from a 250 k budget. Imagine if those producers didn't take a risk. Life is short, you must take risks to grow.
