What is Papi about ?
A Congolese dandy, called Papi comes to stay in Kampala,
Uganda and starts his first day as motor-taxi driver. He operates from a fixed
stage next to a hotel and welcomes his first guest Rebecca, a young Ugandan
lady who spent a very revengeful night with Johnny, the Belgian businessman whom
she despises since her childhood
.
This is an African-European thriller that brings together
different points of view on life and revenge.
On July 14th we will tell the story in more
detail to all our BTS-level and higher supporters via a private link.

Use of Funds
-
More money means better equipment. Camera’s and
lenses is not a problem, but tripods, filters, sliders, audio equipment, lights
and so on come in different levels of quality and price.
-
It also means a better sound, the only crew
member that we still have to find, and for shots like a conversation on a
driving motorbike, we will need a good sound engineer
-
The importance of film music is often
underestimated and we wouldn’t like to compromise on this invisible yet crucial
element. We are still finding out if it is better to buy rights or to make music.
-
And last but not least: more time to shoot.
Locations, accommodation, rent of equipment,.. add up fast. We have 3 weeks
only now.
This is a breakdown of our Funding plans:

- Have a look at 'Vranckx en de nomaden' on Facebook, where you can find some of Kjell and Rhona's short documentaries
