Let's Party!
Greetings film fans. Welcome to the finishing funds and pre-sale campaign for Party of Darkness!
What makes Party of Darkness different from other anthologies is the unique approach to storytelling. The first segment sets up the wraparound where a bunch of horror film fanatics find themselves in a cabin in the woods amidst a storm with no internet and no physical media to watch. So naturally, they tell stories around the fire in the form of their own perfect horror film. The wraparound ends by becoming the spookiest story of all as the partygoers unknowingly summon a demon into their real world! Each segment embraces the style of its filmmaker, both visually and tonally. Some stories are silly, some are terrifying and some are just messed up! There is something for everyone as it was lovingly crafted by horror fans, for horror fans!
Party of Darkness was born from the idea of filmmaking friends coming together to collaborate on one epic anthology. We have all taken turns working on each other's projects over the years, but this was the first opportunity to put our heads together and really create something special.
Why Indiegogo?
8 segments, and 8 directors! Sounds easy, right? Eight short films, all with their own separate cast, crew, locations, wardrobe, art department, permits, etc. We quickly realized this wasn't going to be as easy or cost-effective as we thought. Now we were shooting 8 mini-epics which costs significantly more than a traditional indie feature. That's where YOU come in!
By pre-selling physical media and offering some fun perks, we are guaranteeing this movie makes it across the finish line without having to skimp on post production.

Meet the Makers!
Randy Van Dyke: Though Party of Darkness is Randy's first effort producing a feature film, he is no stranger to the realm of directing. With a background in comedy, Randy made the switch to the spooky-side with 2021's psychological thriller Like Dogs. Party of Darkness is the perfect place to blend humor and horror! Randy wrote and directed the wraparound aka Heather From Hell, plus the Bootytown Bloodbath, and Unable to Comply segments.
Justin Armao: Horror/comedy is Justin's happy place as the creator of the fan favorite cult series, Bloodsucka Jones. Having recently released the 80s-throwback fantasy/adventure movie Xanadu Hellfire, Justin is ready to dive back into scarier waters. Justin co-wrote and directed the Pizza Bites segment.
Andy Cauble: Party of Darkness is Andy's directorial debut, but he has been a producer of the Bloodsucka Jones series and a long-time collaborator with Justin Armao. Andy directed the Ding Dong Dead segment.
Matt Leal: Matt is the director of Shadowmarsh and the acclaimed Hacked series. He is also a fantastic cinematographer, responsible for creating the look of several segments in Party of Darkness. He has a keen eye for visual storytelling, and his segment Pervasion might just be the creepiest of the entire anthology.
Alan & Jason Maxson: Alan is an internationally renowned creature-actor responsible for bringing dozens of nightmares to life. He brought King Ghidorah to life in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and recently wrote and directed his first feature; the stunning sci-fi film Alien Planet. Jason Maxson added his unique voice to the mix as he joined his brother Alan in writing and directing the Coyote segment.
Alexys Paonessa & Matt Festle: This dynamic duo has a ton of producing experience, and is hot off their directorial debut: Isleen Pines. Their strong, character-driven storytelling style opens a little window into the world of an adolescent succubus in the segment Ixchel.
