ME AND MY PROJECT
Hello everyone!
My name is Ivana Govedarska and I am from Bulgaria. I’m a professional classical pianist and I started playing the piano when I was 6. Since then my dream is to become an artist and I believe that with your support this can come true.
I was recently chosen to participate in a Master Music Training in Conservatori del Liceu, Barcelona where I will study with Prof. Stanislav Pochekin.
The donated money will help me pay the tuition fee for a full academic year Master Music Training Course in one of the best music academies in Europe.
WHAT IS THE MASTER MUSIC TRAINING?
Master music training studies are courses for musicians wishing to broaden their musical experience by participating in many concerts, lectures, master classes given by guest professors and other activities organized by the Conservatory. These things are really important for me and my further progress. Having this opportunity will deepen my instrumental and theoretical training and give me the chance to exchange and share various artistic experiences with musicians from different countries.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
One of the most important steps of development for every musician is to have the chance to learn from the best musicians in the world in a competitional environment. Something that can provide them a real evaluation of the classical music world and motivate them each day to become better and better. Now, I have the chance to do it! Conservatori del Liceu hosts every year some of the finest musicians of our days. Every student can visit their courses and get inspired by them. This would give me the opportunity to meet most of the top artists nowadays which is a dream for every classical musician. Moreover, the Conservatory can offer their students a concert hall with brilliant acoustic and more than 100 “Steinway” and “Yamaha” grand pianos, which is extremely important for their further education. Studying there would give me the chance to pursue my dream - to prepare myself for high-level competitions, to participate in a lot of festivals, concerts and master classes.
WHY AM I SELECTED?
I was born in 1993 in Sofia, Bulgaria into a family of musicians. My grandfather was one of the most renowned choir conductors in our country. When I was 6 he raised my love of music and I started playing the piano. In 2012 I graduated the National School of Music, Sofia and then the National Music Academy in the piano class of the famous Bulgarian pianist Prof. Ivan Drenikov. Thankfully, I was so lucky to have him for my tutor because he has been not only a student of the great Italian pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, but also has been one of his closest friends whom the Maestro spent his time with. This fact will always have an impact on me as a musician. After getting my bachelor degree I was accepted in Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain, where I graduated with excellence in the piano class of Prof. Stanislav Pochekin.
My first success came as early as 2007 when I won First Prize at the XII International Festival "Hopes, Talents, Masters", Dobrich, Bulgaria. In 2010 I won the First Prize at the XI International Young Pianists Competition, Nis, Serbia, and later that year I became the Third Prize winner at the International Competition "Prof. Josef Dichler", Vienna, Austria. I was also the winner of the First Prize and Special Prize of the National Academy of Music "Prof. P. Vladigerov" at the IX National Competition for Students-Accompanists, Pleven, Bulgaria – 2011. Another success came in 2015, where a high-level jury awarded me the Third Prize at the First International Piano Competition "Ciudad de Marbella", Spain, among participants from over 20 countries. In 2015, I took part in the “Festival de Piano and Master Classes de Saint Savin”, France, and in 2016 at the “MusikFest Piano Camp” Festival in Minnesota, USA, where I had the opportunity to work with distinguished musicians such as Prof. Alexander Braginsky, Prof. Miyoko Lotto and Prof. Alexander Sklioutovsky. In August this year I participated again in the “Festival de Piano and Master Classes de Saint Savin”, France as a scholarship student. In the competition held there, the result of which is determined by the vote of the professors, artistic directors and the audience, I was one of the 4 laureates from 18 participants from 7 countries.

HOW MUCH EXACTLY DOES IT COST?
Tuition fee: 3700€
Accommodation: 400€ per month
Living costs: 300€ per month
Travel costs: 60€ for a one way flight ticket with a low-cost company
The duration of the Master Music Training is 1 year. Until now I have saved the amount which can cover travel and accommodation costs but it’s still impossible for me to save the amount for the tuition fee. I will be very thankful for any help you can provide. Also once I get there I will be looking for a job which would be enough to pay for living and any other current costs.
