Short Summary
Pimpkillah tells the story of a woman, Sloane Stone, fueled by the death of her
sister who's thirst for revenge puts her at risk of becoming the very
thing she set out to destroy. While hunting down the vicious pimp who murdered her sister, Sloane
becomes involved in the lives of the girls she saves, taking them under
her wing and building her own empire. All for the greater good of
getting the girls off the street once and for all.
My name is Sarah Bitely and I want to create a 5-minute short film based on my comic book series Pimpkillah.
I'm a filmmaker and comic book creator, I've been working on the Pimpkillah concept for 6 years now and in that time I have adapted my original script into a comic book
series while completing four short films. Pimpkillah is very much my baby and I am extremely excited to see it blossom!
At it's heart, Pimpkillah is about the injustice of forced prostitution and human trafficking and the lengths people will go to survive. It's about the bond of an unconventional family in a cruel, unforgiving world.
I want to create something that showcases women of action who believe in righting the wrongs of this world.
The Impact
It’s important to me that a woman embody a saving
grace to others while simultaneously capturing the complexity of female nature,
traits which are rarely seen in film. That's exactly who Sloane Stone is; an anti-heroine who walks a
fine line between right and wrong to serve justice her own way. This
film is not only important to me, for the message I believe it will
send, but for the discussion it will create. Spreading awareness of
human trafficking has always been very important to me, as is creating
intricate female characters who are more than just bystanders,
bombshells or damsels in distress.

This is the first project where I’ll be utilizing stunt sequences. I
have an excellent team on board including a stunt choreographer to oversee the fight scene
and two experienced stunt actors to carry it out.
I have worked with this crew before and we collaborate incredibly well
so I don't have any worries about conquering any obstacles that
inevitably happen to spring up in the making of a film.
