We are raising money to help Fred and Kayn rebuild their lives. The main lodge at Pine Falls, which was lost in a fire was their home. . Any and all donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated in this difficult time.

Kaynan is a 15 year old boy in grade 10. He is a big fan of X-box, carpentry, car mechanics and an avid fisherman. On weekends he helped his dad out around the lodge busing tables, cleaning cabins, and being an awesome host. When not helping out he was usually hanging out with friends enjoying the property.

Fred is the adventurous entrepreneur who took over the lodge in 2010. Having never experienced life in the middle of the great north he dove right in and was known as being a welcoming host and a tireless owner.

On March 5th, 2015, a fire broke out in the furnace room of the main lodge. Fred and Kayn tried their hardest to stop the spread but were unsuccessful. The two were able to get their animals out, Diesel the great Dane and Frenchy and Dougie the cats and suffered from only minor burns on their face.

The lodge was their family home, and was home to the rest of the members of the Dunham family throughout their years there. Their lives were in that lodge: photo albums, clothes, winter jackets, boots, furniture, their trinkets and treasures.

Any donation of any value would help and go towards basic toiletries, clothing, winter jackets, boots, gloves, school supplies for Kaynan, etc and helping them start to rebuild their lives from nothing. We greatly appreciate the warm thoughts and well wishes from the community and want to extend a thank you to anyone who is able to help out in anyway!
