My second album, Original Game, is a study of Desire, exploring it as this game people play together, and as this game Desire itself plays with every man and every woman. It's exploring the many facets of Desire -as lust, freedom, immortality, self-awareness and love.

Original Game :  Deck of Cards

The project started with the concept of Desire as the first -original- game people have been playing together for as long as humans can remember being humans. I wanted to produce an album that would bring about a fresh perspective to this theme, old as Time. 

Musing on the words game, and original, and the concept of timelessness, I decided to release the album as a deck of cards, for playing cards are, indeed, this other game people have been engaging in for the past few centuries. 

This idea came as a fun, new medium for music release, as well as an wonderful, exciting artistic challenge. I've divided the four suites between four visual artists from Montreal: Allex Bel, Adbala Kaufman, Audrey Desrosiers, and Emilie Leger. Together, they will bring about four different interpretations of every song. Each suite holds a special meaning, and each of the 13 songs has its own story -making for a unique, complete work of art.

As for the music, the most convenient way to present it was to put it on a USB key, in a basic card format. The USB card, which will perfectly fit in the pack of cards, will thus feature the 13 tracks, the complete artwork series in digital format, the lyrics, the songs' stories, the game rules, the credits, wallpapers, promo pictures, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and more! 

Where the money will go

The starting goal is $5300. The printing of 500 custom-made decks of cards, and their packaging, sums up to $2573.03, and 500 USB cards come up to another 2,656.50$. All the additional funds I may get from you will go straight to paying the bills, which are: 

- the studio time
- the sound engineer
- the session musicians
- the four artists
- the graphic designer who will be putting it all together
- all the exclusive new merch items

Every dollar you will give me will become a part of my budget for the production and release of the pack of cards, thus contributing to bringing this incredible Work of Art to Life.
