You’re on a night out, you’re drunk and you think to yourself ‘maybe I should just go home’
but you don’t...
This Looks Bad is a dark stumble through Dublin night life through the medium of spoken word rap. It is a one-woman piece written and performed by Síofra O'Meara, and is the debut production from Kill the Cat Productions, a female-led company dedicated to performing and celebrating new Irish work.
It was developed from a short performance in 2016’s Smock Alley Scene + Heard festival in 2016, at which it won the audience choice award and we are delighted to have the opportunity to present a full 6 night, 7 performance run of the fully developed play in the wonderful Smock Alley Theatre.
However as an independent company, we have no funding in place other than our savings so we need your help to make our show the best possible version it can be! We have a great team of people that we are working with on this project, most of whom are starting off in their careers.
Any profit made from these performances will be fed back into the company in order to develop our plans to present and support more new work from emerging Irish playwrights as well as nurture the developing talents of Ireland's set, sound and lighting designers, producers, directors, stage managers, dramaturgs, and costume makers.
We’ve put together a heap of rewards that we hope you will enjoy, from funky t-shirts to a personalised poem written just for you, with lots of other goodies in between! It goes without saying that we are so grateful to all of you that decide to support our show.
Please also share our plea with anyone else you think might be interested via the Indiegogo share tools, and of course PLEASE COME TO THE SHOW!!
