What Are Pocketbands?

Pocketbands are high-quality silicone wristbands that have a pocket for stashing keys, cash and other small items. Originally created as a place to put your key while going for a jog, Pocketbands can be used for a lot more.

The pocket dimensions are approximately 2 ¼ inches long (5.72cm) x .92 inch wide (23.4mm) x .11 inch thick (3mm). That translates to roughly 2 keys or 2 folded bills or a combination of the two. The pocket can stretch to accommodate a shape outside of these dimensions. For example, Pocketbands securely hold the Fitbit One which is 9mm thick.

There are some car keys that will fit into the pocket, but many of the newer cars with large keys or key fobs (computer chip remotes) are too large to fit in the pocket. However, many of the major car companies like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mercedes etc. have created “valet keys” or "smart keys" that can be removed from the key fob that will fit inside the pocket. Just search eBay or online (ex: "toyota smart key" or "honda valet key") to see if your model of car is available. Then just make sure the dimensions of your key are similar to the pocket dimensions listed above.

Glow in the Dark Pocketbands "charge" when exposed to a light source and will glow up to 1-2 hours per charge. Looks Neon Green during daylight and glows green at night.

Pocketbands are made from a sweat/water-proof material. However, to keep the pocket contents water-proof, you can place small items inside 1" x 2" baggies. We do not recommend you submerge expensive electronics or valuables under water.

The new Pocketbands 2.0 design is about 30% less bulky. The part of the band opposite of the pocket has been reduced 1.2mm. The entire pocket height has been reduced 4mm and the walls have been reduced down .5mm. Even though these dimensions have been reduced, the bands are now more flexible and will still hold the same objects as the original.
