#POETICDOGS ARE ON INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK
Hello there!
I'm Dan Bannino, an Italian based photographer and dog lover.
Almost a year ago, I've rescued my dog Rothko from a shelter and from that day on my life changed.
Rothko was found in a gypsy camp, in very poor state and after his adoption I've realized how many dogs are in the same condition all around the world and how a single adoption could change their lives and help supporting the situation in a dog shelter.
His story is just one of a millions and so I've decided to give voice to Rothko and all his four legged friends.
We'd like to share with you their stories and we are hoping to spread the idea of people finally adopting dogs, instead of buying them.
#POETICDOGS, is a photo-project where dogs are besides famous writers: speaking through their expressions, sounds and movements, they're telling you everything saying nothing, just like an author would do with words in a fine poem.

Most of these dogs suffered hunger, sickness, loneliness and are still giving their blessings to every human being they see, in the same way a lot of great artists did in the past, leaving us the treasure and legacy of their rare art.
The goal is to feature as many wonderful rescued dog as possible, raising awareness toward shelters' adoption.
Where the Money is Going
With your support, reaching our fixed €6.000 target, in the new year we will be able to visit more dogs, sharing more stories and help finance our friends with medical, food and other basic supplies.

Since printing a book is an expensive business, only by reaching our target of €6.000 we will produce by May 2015 the first edition of the book that will feature all their amazing stories.
