Short Summary
PACT, the Polish American Community of Toledo, is a non-profit organization formed to perpetuate Polish traditions and to enrich the lives of Polish Americans. Below are only a few of the activities we are involved with:
* We provide annual scholarships to Polish American students;
* We sponsor many cultural and social events;
* We provide assistance to needy Polish Americans;
* We help fund other Polish organizations that promote our culture.
Our goal is to build a Polish American Community Center. The reason we feel this is so important is because over the last couple generations, we believe many Polish Americans, especially younger people, have lost their cultural identity. And we strongly believe that preserving cultural heritage is as much about the present as it is about the past.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to raise $1 million dollars so that we can build and develop a Polish American Community Center. Indiegogo is the first phase of our campaign.
With the help of local supporters, our organization now has an opportunity to purchase a building that can be converted into the type of community center we envision. The funds that are raised will be used to buy this building, convert it to our specifications and provide us with a place that will honor our Polish heritage and allow us to continue the work we have been doing.
Our plans for the Community Center include the following:
* A gym to be used for youth activities as well as larger social events;
* A library that will contain books and artifacts of our Polish heritage;
* A chapel that will be used for prayer and reflection;
* Several meeting rooms to be used by organizations and individuals that support our mission;
* A kitchen that can be used to prepare food for various events;
* An administrative office
What We Need & What You Get
The money raised in the first phase of our $1 million dollar campaign will be used to purchase the building that will house the Community Center. Depending on the amount raised, the building may be purchased outright or may be bought on a lease option basis. Conversion of the interior of the building will progress as funds are raised.

But most importantly, we want you to recognize and to feel good about the fact that your donation will be helping our organization to help others and to preserve our precious Polish heritage.

Also, please remember that we are a non-profit organization so you will be able to claim a tax deduction for any donation that is made to us. A receipt will be provided to you.
