Inspiration for POMM™

Hello, My name is Maryann Kilgallon and I need YOUR help today. I have created & designed the POMM™ device after hearing the tragic story of a little boy who died in my town after being forgotten in a daycare van. After hearing the terrible details of his death, I became very upset and went to bed in tears. I was moved beyond upset and decided right their and then that I had to do something & take action to get involved to help stop this from continuing.

That very night I created the POMM™ device and the next day I started doing research and was stunned at the 600 thousand annual cases of child abuse & neglect by daycare centers & babysitters in the US alone. Also, the statistics are shocking that a child dies every 9 days from vehicle heatstroke death from being left in a vehicle. I have chosen to leave my current position in order to work full time on this life saving device and have joined a University business incubator program for mentorship, guidance and real world training to commercialize the POMM™ and make it a reality. We have an amazing talented team working very hard to bring the POMM™ device to market.

What We Need 

ANY DONATION AMOUNT IS ACCEPTED, I cannot do this alone and need the help of caring people who want to also make a difference. We have started the sourcing all the prototype components and have started on the mobile app. designs & layout. We need additional capital to complete the prototype & mobile  app. We have been accepted to exhibit at CES2019 in Eureka Park to launch POMM™ to the world and plan to secure strategic partnerships to take this device Global.

Risks & Challenges

We realized early on that we were undertaking a big challenge in order to make the POMM™ small and comfortable for little wrist. It has been very challenging finding the best, available & smallest parts & sensors. Our engineers have sourced the world for the best technology components and we feel confidant that we are ready to finalize the POMM™ device for production.
