"Porn: The Musical" is an (absurd) musical comedy film about a director's dream to create the perfect porn. Unfortunately for him, as filming progresses, hilarious circumstances force him to rethink whether his all-encompassing formula is as all-encompassing as he originally supposed.
The writers of "Porn: The Musical" have always enjoyed creating comedy and firmly believe in the well-known philosophy "Comedy over Everything". Their love of comedy and eager willingness to push the envelope has led them to create this hilarious project. The zaniness of this project can best be compared to "Noises Off", with a format reminiscent to "Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog". This film promises to be something completely unique-- A film that you'll want to (and will) watch over and over again.

Meghan and Erin are two Media Production students studying at Ithaca College's Park School of Communications trying to make it in this big, bad world. This is not the first time the dynamic duo has worked together. Just last year they created a romantic "dramedy" while studying at Ithaca entitled, It's Your Funeral.
Erin Nydick - Director/Writer
Erin Nydick is a senior Television-Radio major with a concentration in Media Production. She loves drinking champagne on rooftops, traveling the world and creating high quality cinema. She has worked as a key team member on a number of Ithaca College films, such as
"Small Steps" and Golden Doorknob winner
"Broken Fate". She also produced ICTV's
"Uploaded" during the Fall of 2014.
Erin has spent much of the last couple years traveling and interning in a number of capacities. In the Summer of 2014 she interned for
Heroes and Villains Entertainment in Los Angeles. Most recently she spent a semester in Europe where she interned for
Dutch Pictures Industry. She is excited to apply all that she learned from these experiences to "Porn: The Musical".
Meghan Malone - Director/Writer
Meghan Malone is a senior Television-Radio major with a concentration in Media Production and a minor in Scriptwriting. Besides short walks on the beach and one night stands, she also enjoys making films, such as the shorts "Black Butterfly" and"Small Steps", as well as the above "It's Your Funeral". She has also assisted on many Ithaca College Television shows in a wide range of positions.
Meghan has just returned from a semester abroad in London, where she travelled all over Europe, studied theatre and was legal to drink. At Ithaca, she is the social media director for IC Players, a student-run theatre organization. Last year, Meghan wrote the 10 minute play, "Breakfast in Bed", which was selected to be performed at Ithaca College's 2015 Senior Showcase in New York City.

Here comes the cold,
hard truth. Films aren't free. There are a lot of factors that go into making a film, let alone a musical. This is where you all can make a huge difference. After months of rigorous work and number crunching by our overworked producer, we are able to project our minimum operating budget at $4500. Here's the breakdown:
![]()
Camera Department: We really want this to look good. To do this, we have to rent additional equipment that we don't have access to at Ithaca College. This includes a Steadicam system for our camera, a wireless follow focus, and a few different accessories! We're not trying to shoot amateur porn here, so this equipment is essential.
Costumes & Production Design: Porn is all about the atmosphere. The wrong costume or prop can make or break a moment. We are also constructing many of our set pieces, which is why production design is one of the highest portions of our budget. Production Design includes anything our actors interact with on camera, so the more you donate, the more dildos we'll get on screen.
Craft Services: With all the singing, dancing, and porn going on, our cast and crew are going to work up quite an appetite. Craft Services is all the food that it takes to to feed everyone throughout production. We don't want anyone working on an empty stomach!
Post Production: This is where the money goes to after the cameras stop rolling. The majority of this will be used for film festival submission fees, so we can get rich and famous.
PR: Without money, we can't get the word out. And if we can't get the word out, we can't get the money we need to fund our film. It's a vicious cycle. We want as many people as possible to join in on our fun, so we need to be able to properly communicate what we're up to, as well as release other promotional goodies!
G&E (Grips&Electrics): These costs are anything associated with our lighting team. While most of our lighting gear is available through our school, there are other materials that we will need to purchase, such as a variety of gels and tapes.
Transportation: Unfortunately, teleportation devices are not yet being sold to the general public, so we have to transport our crew, actors and equipment the old fashion way. (Gas $$$).

We know that not everyone can contribute monetarily, but that doesn't mean that you can't help! One of the most helpful things that anyone can do for us right now, is sharing this page. Send this link along to anyone and everyone. The more people that know about our production, the better off we will be.
Thank you so much for showing interest in our project. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about "Porn: The Musical" or just want to chat a little. Thank you for the interest in our dreams.
