Adopted the standard espresso extraction
Extract 60ml espresso (double shot) using 14g beans. We also adopted a 58mm filter basket that is the same size as a commercial machine.

PREXO & Hand pump type pressure dynamic range

If apply pressure by hand pump method, can not avoid suddenly changing pressure. This causes channeling with rapid flow rate change, making stable extraction difficult. The average pressure will also be much lower than thought. No commercial espresso machine has adopted a large pressure change. On the other hand, PREXO can maintain a stable pressure of 5-7BAR.

Differences from 9bar espresso
The standard extraction pressure of espresso is 9 bar. But 5-7 bar is also enough to produce good espresso (Mokapot 1~2 bar/ 'A' press 0.4~0.7bar). Many commercial lever machines operate at 5-7 bar. Low pressure creates a slow flow rate, which allows stable extraction by offsetting a variety of variables, such as irregular particle size, unbalanced distribution of beans, and others. This is why various attempts have recently been made to lower the pressure on commercial espresso machines.

At the PREXO, a pressure of 6 bar is equivalent to press down about 291 lb (132 kg). PREXO has a strong torque ratio, so it can reach a pressure of 6 bar without difficulty.

Management and cleaning
The management and cleaning of PREXO are as easy as its use. The filter has fine holes optimized for the optimum pressure and flow rate of the PREXO, so a separate paper filter is not required and can be used semi-permanently. You can also use a ready-made 58mm tamper.

- After the extraction is completed, leave the handle to rest for a while so that the remaining pressure drops or spin the handle to the opposite direction to relieve pressure.
- Although the shaft is made of stainless steel, rust may occur if exposed to moisture for a long time. Please dry it after use, please wipe it with food grease or edible oil once or twice a month to prevent fray.

Caution
- Most important : The combination between chamber and filter basket must be tightened by more than 80%. If combined to less than half, pressure may concentrate on the edge of the joint and cause breakage. Please refer to instruction video.
- The limit (breakage) pressure is 9.5 bar. Please use only at the level of feeling slight resistance at your fingertips, That's enough, PREXO has a strong torque ratio. and gentle pressure is the key to good extraction.
