“HOME are delighted to be supporting Hercules Productions and
their upcoming production 'Prison Game'. This young, ambitious company are
telling some vital stories in a vibrant and evocative way which need to be seen
on stages all over the country” – Kevin Jamieson, Senior Producer HOME
theatre.
"Prison
Game is a hard-hitting piece, incorporating physical theatre into the telling
of a true story. We are proud to be able to programme a theatre production that
touches on issues that affect many sectors of the community." Leyla Nazali, Executive Producer Arcola Theatre
Prison
Game is a one-man
physical theatre performance packed with an intense narrative and hard hitting
truth. It's the real-life story of a young boy's sudden exposure to crime
and the prison system.
Touring to :HOME
theatre, Manchester, Theatre in the Mill, Bradford and Arcola theatre in
London, Hercules Productions will share the important true story of life within
the prison system.
With your help, Hercules Productions
will help audiences across the UK discuss openly the nature of crime and the prison system, provoking educational and thoughtful conversation. Working with Youth
Offending Officers, the Hercules Productions team will develop a number of workshop sessions and educational pack.
Who We Are:
Hercules Productions has a vision to create new fresh and inventive work. The key to our projects is bringing together inexperienced and experienced artists to work together in a professional arts environment. All these artists are from diverse communities in Manchester to create real dialogue between people about the issues they face in the inner city. We seek to raise the profile of cultural diversity in the North West through raw new work that challenges the social boundaries, takes risks and breaks new ground in performance.
Our Experts
Coming Soon. We are editing Videos to tell you more about the
people we have been talking to about developing the show. Come back to hear
more about them next week.
How will we spend the money?
We have applied to a range of funders to develop the show
and get it ready to tour around the country. There is a spreadsheet below where
you can see how much this costs.
Your money will tell the funders how important this project
is. This can make them more confident to fund the project. Sometimes this is
called match funding.
We hope that we will raise all the money to make the show
that way your money will be used to:
Work with our experts to develop the workshop programme, so
that young people really benefit from seeing the show.
Offer free workshops
to young people in Pupil Referral Units, Young Offenders Institutes, Schools, Youth
Clubs etc.. For £100 you can nominate a group of your choice.
Offer free tickets to see the show to young people who are
looked after or in care.
Offer free tickets to see the show to young people from voluntary
community groups
