Summary
"Prussians Vs Aliens" is a humorous steampunk comic book written by Davide La Rosa, drawn by Riccardo Pieruccini and colored by Luca Salce and Mattia Zoanni.
The goal here is to give life to a new comic book series which could take the reader to a universe filled with steampunk robots and funny aliens.
In these pages, a historically revised Prussian army has to fight the menace coming from outer space. They'll be able to engage aliens with the help of a special task force, featuring six war heroes and their own huge steampunk robots: levers, pedals, chains, belts and steamy gears are going to be all over the place!
The story is heavily inspired by Japanese anime's from the '70-'80s. If you enjoyed shows such as Mazinger, Grendizer or Daitan III or even Pacific Rim or Michael Bay's Transformers, this is going to be a real eye-candy for you! It's a huge quotes goldmine that will amuse and excite you from the beginning straight to the end.
The first chapter of the saga will be issued in
- two volumes
- Colored
- B5 format
-
46 pages per volume.
At the moment, just the first volume will be available in the crowdfunding campaign. However, if the campaign grows well, generous rewards will be added along the way.

The Plot
It's 1789. French Revolution is raging in the streets of Paris.
No one cared to notice that the Prussians were busy fighting an alien menace and saving the world. But let's step back for a minute.
A few weeks earlier, the fat King Frederick William II was experiencing the worst awakening of his life. Rumor has it, the whole Prussian horse fleet had disappeared. It couldn't get any worse for a country whose greatest army pride are the horses! After all, what's left of a XVIII Century army if you take the horses away from them?!
Who took them away?
Who could steal all of the animals in just one night without anyone noticing?!
Intelligence agencies didn't take too long to discover that the culprit came from the sky. The kidnappers are the ruthless aliens coming straight from the moon!
The horses had to be retrieved ASAP, no matter what. Yes, but how?! Now, the Prussians had a special army, a secret task force of six ruthless fighters, three men and three women. The best of the best of the Prussian Kingdom's army.
Each of these agents will drive their own robot. Will the Prussians be able to ward off the alien threat?

The Authors
Davide La Rosa was born in Como on June 23, 1980 (yes, Como was already there in the 80's). He did a lot of not really important things until 2001 when he attended the comic-book school "The New Heloise." Since 2002 he is co-founder of the "Bad drawn comics" magazine, which is still active, as active is his blog "Mulholland Dave", where he constantly publishes a badly drawn series of strips. In 2010 he started a collaboration with Nicola Pesce Editore and published three books since then. In 2011 he started working for "Star Comics" as a writer and publishes his own series, "Ninja nuns." He has also worked with the tv-show "Voyager" on Rai2 and for the magazine "CICAP." He does other things, too, and has 3 cats. He will die on a Wednesday.
Riccardo Pieruccini was born in Lucca in 1979. When he realized that he was in the 80's - after watching a long Mc Hammer movie - he decided to devote his body and soul to robot cartoons, which were very popular at that time, mainly because of the florid Japanese productions. The transition from anime to comics was his real initiation: reading, experimenting and hard working and training led him to a degree in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and he became a fellow student of Simone Bianchi (Marvel), for whom he works from 2011. In 2001 he won the golden Pierlambicchi, but the passionate love for the robot world pushes him to focus on comic books. He has worked for Marvel as a supplier (Thanos series Rising, New Avengers, Original Sin), for Star Comics as a drawer (Cornelius, The Secret) and still as a drawer for Rainbow (Winx), alternating illustration works for movies (Gabriele Savatores) and advertising, and kept teaching comics drawing and sketching at Design Academy of Florence from 2007 to 2011. As of today, he still looks good, despite the fact he draws Prussians, moustache and big robots with Davide La Rosa.
After the crowdfunding
We are planning to create the second volume of Prussians vs Aliens.
But we don't want to stop here, we want to create a series where it will be possible to read the adventure of the Prussian army.
