Who the hell is Roaring Rat Films?
![Roaring Rat Films logo]()
You probably never heard of us before. We never met at a party, we didn't spend a wild night together and you haven't misplaced our business card.
Here goes...
Roaring Rat Films is an indie horror film company based in Topeka, Kansas. (Yes, that Topeka, Kansas.)
Our mission? Make cult-classic feature-length horror movies.
With the able assistance of our film company production partner, Klik Kreative Studios, we have written, directed, shot, edited and produced five movies since our founding in 2010.
Three zombie-comedy shorts:
- "Zombie Laundry" The original Roaring Rat Films zombie comedy short.
- "Zombie Chigger" A walk in the woods goes horribly wrong.
- "Zombie Tattoo Parlor" Love never dies.
And two feature-length zombie-thrillers:
- "Zombie Beauty Pageant" Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.
- "Zombie, Kansas" Death in the heartland.
What we're asking
![Roaring Rat Photo collage]()
We need help - your help - to get our latest and greatest productions, "Zombie Beauty Pageant and "Zombie, Kansas", on iTunes and GooglePlay.
The hard part is done. Both movies are written, directed, filmed, edited and have the music rights acquired. BUT... we aren't big enough or famous enough (yet) to deal directly with Apple. We need to hire an "iTunes aggregator" - a company that has a working relationship with Apple and the expertise to get our movies placed on iTunes - and these guys aren't exactly cheap.
$6000 should do it
Not exactly pocket change, right?
Our best estimate is about $3000 per movie. This will cover promotional materials (DVDs, posters, tshirts, etc.) and paying the iTunes aggregator to close caption, prep and submit our movies to iTunes.
Once on iTunes, we hope a lot of people watch our productions - maybe even make a buck or two some day. But mostly we want to showcase the amazing talent our actors, writers, directors, makeup artists, photogs and production crew have here in the heartland (and to get their bios on IMDB!)

The Downside...
Not to be a bummer, but even though the iTunes aggregators all say they'll get us on iTunes, there is no 100% guarantee.
Which sucks.
We might get bounced for some reason we can't foresee. All I can say is this: I'm pretty unstoppable (ask around) and will do everything in my power to make this happen. (Someone somewhere just dropped his mic.)
On the bright side we have killer writers, directors, cinematographers, actors, designers, musicians, photogs and crew that make our movies irresistible.
What's not to like?
