WHO WE ARE & WHY WE'RE DOING WHAT WE DO
QUEEROCRACY is sending two buses to the We Can End AIDS Mobilization during the International AIDS Conference on July 24, 2012. These buses will be provided free of cost to participants and will allow them to travel to Washington D.C. to march with QUEEROCRACY and thousands of activists and organizations to demand human rights and economic justice to end the AIDS crisis.
We are a New York City-based grassroots organization working to promote social and economic justice through direct action, community engagement and education. We commit to challenging institutional injustice locally and globally within a queer framework, building a sustainable movement to confront and transform the intersecting issues our communities face.
We have worked tirelessly in AIDS activism for the past two years and are extremely excited about mobilizing New Yorkers to join us at the International AIDS Conference for this epic mobilization. As an organization made up of youth and young adults, we understand the importance of speaking up and demanding our world leaders to take the necessary steps to end AIDS. Knowing that we can see the end of AIDS within our lifetime and knowing there doesn't have to be another 30 years, we are asking you to help us fund this trip. We Can End AIDS and we need your help!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU & WHAT YOU'LL GET FROM US
Any donations made will go towards the following costs:
-2 buses to Washington DC from NYC and back
-Food & water for transportees
-Signs & banners to be used during the march on July 24, 2012
We will have blog posts and photos after the march, showing you what your contributions helped create. As more work is done in the fight to end AIDS, building off of the successes of the We Can End AIDS Mobilization, we will continue updating our website, Facebook and listserve with information about how our work is affecting progress in the fight. We hope you'll sign up to receive these updates so that you can see how your donations have helped us make a difference and have helped us all move closer to a world without AIDS.
Supporters who contribute:

We are a small organization and every bit helps! Any contributors receive our ever-lasting gratitude!
WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT
We deserve a world in which the lives and health of our communities are prioritized over corporations and ideology. Unfortuantely, we are seeing the opposite across the United States, in Washington DC, and throughout the world. We know that we have the science, the treatment and the resources to end the AIDS epidemic, but we continue to lack the political will. When the world comes to Washington DC in July 2012 for the International AIDS Conference, at a moment when the political world (particularly in the United States) is listening, we are demanding the necessary steps be taken to see that we do end AIDS.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO HELP
