Quick and Dirty Scrapworks is a crafting guild hell bent on making some of the most outlandish and obscene things from video games, movies, and the murky backwater of our imaginations come to life. QD Scrapworks is the brain child of Ryan (http://www.youtube.com/user/lvl111blacksmith) and Alli Apocalips (http://apaocalips.ca) with close support of Thak Ironworks and Kropserkel.
We are starting this campaign to:
-get a better camera
-get better editing software
-increase overall production value
-upload our shows more consistently
-afford costumes/props/materials/sets etc.
-add new web shows
-create photo-graphic novel series
After acquiring some new equipment, the next two major projects for Quick and Dirty will be Epic Hero Kombat and the photo-graphic novels.
Photo-graphic novels:
We’ve got a lot of exciting ideas for these photo-graphic novels. The quick and dirty of it is they will be a graphic novel done in photographs exploring various situations in time through history and fantasy. But, for this campaign we’re doing a post-apocalyptic themed 3 story novel called Badland Bombshells. You’ll see a scavenger as she hunts for supplies in a not so abandoned building, a raider stirring up a bloodbath - fighting for supremacy of her clan, and a vault dweller having to escape from the only life she’s ever known - forced to survive in the wasteland.
Epic Hero Kombat:
We weren't satisfied with how simple and mainstream Epic Hero Kombat was turning out. We decided instead of just pitting two characters against each other we wanted to see more of the character's abilities. As most games have at least 3 classes of enemies - a light, a medium, and a heavy, we wanted to see the character take them down in real life using moves from the video game.
Light - Scavenger: is the fast, annoying, knife wielding berserker who is hard to get a bead on but pretty easy to put down with a good solid melee. Scavengers will be adorned with their trademark wrap.
Medium - Raider: you know, that standard rifleman class, not too bright, not too strong but there are typically about 100 of them on every map. Raiders will be identified by their signature cap.
Heavy - Marauder: the guy with the giant gun, and all that armour, who seems pretty determined not to die. The Marauder will be outfitted with some ballisticsarmour a large gun and a menacing warmask.
