The Show

RADIO: Outcast is an audio drama harkening back to the days when listeners all over the world would gather around the radio for shows like Gunsmoke or War of the Worlds. However, part of our goal in creating this show was to highlight those who often go unheard in the Western and Fantasy genres.
Season 1 introduced us to the heroes; Jesse Rogers (voiced by Ivory Amor D’Francisca) is a young black cowboy seeking justice after his father's murder, Charles Osgood (voiced by Daniel Abraham Stevens) is a gay conman with a mysterious past, and Helix (voiced by Jade Duong) is a bisexual goddess going through a nasty breakup. Through their travels the trio become closer but remain far from friends. As they faced challenges together in the Enchanted Mesa, revealed where they came from in Nevada and Salt Lake City, and had fun roller skating together in the barren Craters of the Moon their walls began to drop.
After the Helix’s evil ex’s plans become evident, the trio continue their journey in Season 2 while questioning whether the path each has been walking is the one they wish to commit to. In the legendary Deadwood they all truly come to care for each other, they perform theater of their lives on a showboat on the Missouri River, and battle nightmares to return to each other in Lincoln. With the villains at their heels, what challenges await this unlikely trio in Season 3? Can these Outcasts find happiness?

The Team
While at graduate school at UC Riverside Maria Fernanda Vidaurrazaga approached JT Lachausse with an idea for a narrative podcast. With JT on board as co-creator, the journey to create RADIO: Outcast began. Shortly after Jamie Hughes came on board as Emi and our Season 1 producer. Then the main cast of Daniel A. Stevens, Jade Duong, Ivory Amor D’Francisca, Griffin Otto Deniger, and Daniel Sotelo joined the project. As the team has grown and changed, we have welcomed Samuel Kinsella (Composer), Brandi Robinson (Cast), Rye Dorsey (Sound Designer), Miles Crenwelge (Dialogue Editor), and Sebastian Sotelo (Assistant Director) for season 2!
The first season was funded and produced entirely by the show’s original creators and the second season was only made possible through fundraising and donations from our listeners and friends and family. For the final season, we want to expand our team, up our quality on all fronts, and make sure our incredible cast and crew is compensated fairly for their work.
The Budget

Cast - $1,800.00 (36%) Our stellar cast has offered their time and talent to bring this story and its characters to life. Our hope is to pay them closer to what they deserve for their performances.
Crew - $1,700.00 (34%) The crew who work alongside the showrunner to make the show. This will cover payment for our Dialogue Editors, Sound Designer, and Assistant Director.
Music - $250.00 (5%) We will continue to work with Samuel Kinsella for Season 3 as our composer, but as the settings in the world of RADIO: Outcast develop and change we’d like to collaborate with other musicians as well.
Art - $200.00 (4%) We’ve had the joy and privilege to work with amazing artists each season to create the album art and other memorable illustrations. Something we hope to do once more for the final season.
Marketing - $350 (7%) This helps us continue to promote the show to as many people as possible. Chiefly, this includes maintaining our website, Patreon, online store, and all social media accounts.
