My name is Vanessa Wright and I am the writer and Executive Producer of Rainy Season, a film adapted from the thrilling short story by Stephen King. We are raising money to produce the film in early Spring 2016. We have a terrifically eerie set location and an outstanding cast and crew attached to the film. Now all we need is you! By donating to this non-commercial film, you will help a very talented group of artists bring to life one of the great stories by the Master of Horror. Per Mr. King’s agreement for the non-exclusive rights to his story, he will be seeing the final product...our film.

BUDGET

We need $30,000USD to make this film, or 1000 of our closest friends and supporters to give us $30 each.  The money will be allocated to the following:  Location fees, cast, crew, insurance, SFX, VFX, post production, equipment rental, props, permits, incidentals. 

CAST & CREW

 We are artists/filmmakers first and we want to share our art with the world.  Our goal is to take this film around the country to film festivals to showcase our filmmaking skills and talents in the hopes of securing representation/funding for future projects.  We have an amazing team of artists working on this project.

LOCATION

We are thrilled to be filming in Senoia, GA at the very location where they shot the film Lawless!

This is a risky venture due to the fact that the film cannot be distributed or make a profit in any way.  It is a non-commercial project for festival use/screenings only.  We realize we are asking people to donate to something that they will never see a monetary return on their contribution.  Therefore, we are proposing that 100% all funds raised ABOVE our goal of $30,000 will be donated to the International Child Art Foundation, www.icaf.org.  Our promise is that if you can give to us, we will pay it forward by supporting this globally recognized children's charity.
