My name is Jacob Stiller and my Company is Gnarlcraft Board Co. We are a small company that is under a year out. We build beautiful pieces of art that also preserve a form and function. Our boards are built from locally sourced materials that are in majority upcycled. Our focus is to influence the local community to have passion for outdoor board sports and to build a stronger connection with the outdoors. We want to grow and help others grow while perpetuating passion for doing the things we love. Our campaign is to raise money to help our company grow so we can get snowboards and longboards from our local community into more individuals hands! We want everyone to have a beautiful piece of art that they can use when going out and adventuring. We are hoping to raise enough money to get a pneumatic press in order to speed up our building process being all of our boards are hand built. This also will increase the quality of your boards and allow us to grow in skill with the building process.
What We Need & What You Get
- We are looking to raise $4000 in order to invest into a pneumatic press for our company. This money will directly impact our local community in a couple of ways. This will allow us to continue producing boards of the highest quality but also will be able to do it in a more timely fashion. That being said, we can produce more boards and with the overstock we can then start to donate longboards and snowboards to local community member to build the sport. We want to build our community by giving back. Our end goal is to spread the love by driving passion and getting everyone excited about what they are passionate about.
- If we raise our entire goal we will be hosting a few events and will be giving away prizes at the events that will range from goggles, hats and sherpa hoodies to a custom snowboard. If we raise more than our goal we will be starting a shop space/learning space where we will be hosting classes on how to build your own board!
The Impact
• Our local snow and skate community has been shrinking over the years. With the influence of a local company we hope to build this community back up and build the passion of creating beautiful things with our hands. Board building is a long lost art that can be every rider knowledge. These sports are fun sports that everyone can do and can connect individuals with the nature that surrounds them!
