Right now we have finished the 2nd Version of PCB. All functions are well tested. A laser acrylic cut case is coming now.
Aug. 2014: Get this idea, finalize the function specification
Sep.2014: Sourcing components; Test key functions on breadboards;
Mar. 2015: Analyse the feedback of you; Preparing the stock;
Apr. 2015: Start batch Production
May. 2015: Test & Shipment
Risks & Challenges
Before launching this Campaign, we made sure to get our prototypes worked out. Please refer to the blog for more detail.
Risk 1: Compute Module may be out of stock in some countries. It is depend on Raspberrypi.org
Risk 2: The biggest component is the 7" IPS TFT LCD, its price and lead time are different depend on the quantity.
Risk 3: Resistive TouchScreen is not satisfied on 7" IPS TFT LCD. We'd like to change to Capacitive TouchScreen. It also depends on the pledged goal we reached.
However, like with any Hardware project, delays or minor mishaps are always a possibility. We'll try to keep them at a minimum and, if anything does pop up, we'll be sure to keep every one of you updated.

1. Will you flash the eMMC before shipping? With Raspbian?
-> Yes, if you choose "$199USD - Full RaspiVision Kit", we will flash the eMMC before shipping with Raspbian, both for testing and user convenience.
