And we'd like to share with you our feature film production. DAEDALUS MELON in REBEL BIKERS Vs. Vampires from Venus.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt30098450/?ref_=pro...
We have the necessary skills and experience in filmmaking to bring this campy horror comedy to life. We will be using cinematic quality 4K cameras as well as filming in a variety of other formats and using other cameras.
Here's a little about this project.
The idea to make a feature horror comedy came to us while we were making a 48 hr horror comedy film called BEWARE OF D.. for a filmmaking contest. The short film was written, filmed and edited within the given time frame of 48 hrs with time to spare. We accomplished this feat in a little over 36 hrs. Afterwards this short film, as well as another made within 48 hrs Güstov (about an imaginary therapist goose) have both been submitted to film festivals far and wide. Being selected to screen in a number of them, (in Canada, the USA, Germany, India, Russia, Italy, Greece and South Africa) and winning some awards. A few of the festivals include:
Independent Horror Movie Awards, Bridge Fest, The Strange Days Horror Fest, Fake Flesh Film Festival, Tuesday of Horror, short shot fest, Blood Moon International Horror Festival, Monster Pool Horror Festival, Diabolical Horror Film Festival, Ravenwood Film Festival, Bloody Hats Film Festival, New West Film Fest, Vancouver Badass Film Festival and Kino

and the film BEWARE OF D.. has received some awards including; for Best Horror Short, Best Actress (Katherine Ramdeen of tv's Supernatural), Best Actor (Mike Atwater), Best Twist, and was nominated and shortlisted for other such awards. It is still making its film festival circuit, and we are hopeful for some more screenings and possible awards.
That being said, the proof is in the pudding as they say, and with more time, more resources, more funds, we are developing some of the characters from this award winning short into a full feature horror comedy. There will be loads of gore. Plenty of blood, pools of it.
Roderick and I are both film professionals working in Hollywood North (Vancouver Canada), and are full members in good standing of the DGC (Directors Guild of Canada), in addition I am a member of the LMGI (Location Managers Guild International). We pride ourselves on being hard workers, who support and encourage others. We've individually supported the efforts of over 100 film projects of others via Indiegogo, kickstarter, WeFunder, and GoFundMe.
What can you expect from our production?
It will be run as a professional, fun, safe, diverse set. Each person we've worked with on our shorts has enthusiastically expressed a strong desire to work with us again. Cast, crew, even bystanders that happened upon our filming wished to be involved in our future endeavours.
This feature film aims to reach well past the moon & stars, into other universes, other dimensions.
Climb aboard, and be ready to blast off.

As we have made our other productions with volunteer cast and crew, the first expenses always taken into consideration regard operating a safe set. A safe work place, following all the requirements and guidelines of the Actsafe Safety Association (Actsafe is a not-for-profit health and safety association supporting British Columbia’s arts and entertainment industries) and WorkSafeBC.
We also plan to adopt and implement a green set, attempting to reduce our carbon footprint, by working in a more environmentally sustainable manner. We will be following the learning we've gathered from REEL GREEN, using Keep It Green Recycling's material reuse warehouse, as well as seeking advice from Green Spark's Zena Harris. In addition to approaching Portable Electric for our electrical power needs. So we are going beyond simple recycling, composting, and trying to reduce our impact into landfills, we will also be using electric and hybrid vehicles as much as possible.
Back to the other type of green, or as it is in Canada, a multitude of colours. (Yes our money looks like monopoly money to some.)
We have set our initial target goal at a modest $16,500 CAD (which is just a wee little bit over $12,000 USD approximately). ** All funds raised will go into further pre production, and then into production expenses, as well as post production, promotion and distribution stages to aid this film in its creation and successes.
As I know you’ve heard others say,
LET'S CRUSH THIS GOAL!!!
STRETCH GOAL #1: $20,000 CAD ($15K USD approx) - This goal will allow us to have an internationally known STAR in our film (will help with travel, accommodations and addition expenses associated with this known performer)
STRETCH GOAL #2: $30,000 CAD ($22K US approx) - This goal will allow us a desired filming location, and an additional day to our filming schedule..
STRETCH GOAL #3: $50,000 CAD ($38K US approx) - This goal will allow us even more shooting days with our star cast, even more gore fx, and some additional filming equipment rentals that will make this look like a film done for 20x's the budget. Yes I'm saying our $50K will look like we spent a million in its production value on screen.

Risks & Challenges
As I know many use this expression, “this is not our first rodeo.” Well for us this is true. Although, it isn’t a rodeo, but a film production we are speaking about. We have an experienced crew with decades of experience working on everything from multi-million dollar blockbuster productions, television projects to low budget passion projects. We know all that is involved in the integral pre-production process, the business side, insurance, securing film permits, scouting and locking locations, reworking/ rewriting the script, brainstorming with each department, mood boards, storyboards, shot lists, logistical planning and other things involved, such as casting and of course crewing up.
We have gathered a number of experienced professional skilled film crew members, that we have worked with previously. We also have access to plenty of quality, professional film equipment, many of the enviable “bells and whistles” (I know no matter how much funds we raise though, we simply will not have enough for IMAX Cameras, Technocranes or process trailers. Nor will we want to spend funds simply on “cool” gear),
We know all that is involved in film productions, and know how to run safe, productive, creative, respectful sets. We know how to shift gears for any obstacles, changes that present themselves, how to adapt, problem solve, finding solutions is something we pride ourselves on. This movie will get made. Risk is minimal. And we can confidently state this film will get seen. We have a strong track record with getting into film festivals, and strongly feel we will get distribution with this feature. *Again – this is a promise and a fact, you may quote us “this film will be made and this film will be seen!” (* but you can help us make it better and better)
Other Ways You Can Help
If you find you are unable to help with a monetary contribution, at this time, there are other ways in which you can assist this production. One such way, which will be much appreciated—please SPREAD THE WORD to as many of your friends, associates and acquaintances as possible. Others might be able to contribute, or they may know someone who is able to, or both. I hope you spread the word about this production whether you contribute or not.
That whole “and they’ll tell two friends, and they’ll tell two friends, and so on and so on” (recall that 1980’s shampoo commercial. Ok, I’ve aged myself. It works. Word of mouth is still one of the best avenues for getting people interested in something.). Help our Indiegogo campaign snowball, or spread like wildfire. We believe there are folks out there wishing to support and be part of a project, such as ours, they just need to know it exists. So awareness is extremely important. Please use the Indiegogo share tools.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our Indiegogo campaign. We look forward to bringing you onboard and creating this film with you.
