Other phones had either not adapted to gaming (some looked and felt like bricks) or were simply iPhone copycats. That’s when we decided to create a design impressive enough to leave a mark on the smartphone industry.
It took more than a hundred design iterations to find the perfect look for Red Magic. We have created a sleek smartphone that’s comfortable to hold, with tactile buttons rounding out the contours.

But we quickly hit an obstacle. It was impossible to include clunky cooling fans without compromising on the smartphone’s slim design.
So, we took a cool-headed approach to keep the temperature down. We packed in three special technologies to keep our device cool to the touch—all without fans.
Firstly, the extra layers of graphite help take heat away from the processor.

On top of that, the convex-styled back adds more surface area to dissipate heat faster. Basically, the more surface area, the faster conduction and convection can take place.
Finally, the three cooling ports on the back of the device allow for better hot–cool air exchange.
Combine these three components and what you get is the coolest phone. Literally! At its peak temperature, it’s almost ten degrees cooler than an iPhone X.

01Software Timeline
We’re proud of our Red Magic smartphone. But that doesn’t mean it’s ready to be hastily sent out untested. We are perfectionists, after all.
On April 14 we placed our devices in the hands of experts for rigorous daily driving usage testing, and from there we’ll be implementing their feedback over the next few weeks.
While they've found a couple of bugs with some of the features, the Red Magic team is working to have your device fully optimised from the day you receive it. And in case some smartphones are shipped out without those features, we promise to add them back in as soon as the glitches are fixed.
We’re expecting to have a stable build around end of May or early June should everything go to plan. If the timeline changes, we’ll keep you in the loop. If you want to help us test, please reach out to us with your order number and you could be added to our testing group.

At Red Magic, we strive for a 100% transparent approach to shipping. Delivery is one of the team’s expertises and your package is our priority. So we’ll do everything we can to keep you up to date on your purchase.
We’ll start dealing with orders as soon as we are in stock. When your Red Magic smartphone is dispatched we’ll notify you right away.
After dispatching, you should receive your package within one to 30 business days depending on your location. Delivery delay may occur due to weather, import declaration process and other uncontrollable events.
All our products will be shipped under DDU term, we will arrange the delivery to your address but cannot clear for import, you may need to cooperate with courier on local import declaration and payment of duty/tax if necessary. As a result, extra costs beyond port-of-entry may be incurred upon receipt of your Red Magic smartphone.

Update #1. You asked. We listened. Due to huge demand, the Android version is now available for early software testing—exclusive to North American users (North America Early Testing Perk). Best of all, we’ll exchange your tester phone for the real deal once it’s ready. Just keep in mind that users may have limited 4G connectivity in the region.

Warranty Policy
Red Magic provides a limited warranty for your smartphone and the original accessories delivered with your smartphone (hereinafter referred to as “product”) purchased from Indiegogo.
The warranty includes 12 months free maintenance for the smartphone. If there is a functional failure or product quality problem, the product will be repaired free of charge.
Any defect arising due to misuse of the product, damages due to liquid ingress, physical abuse, or normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty.
Damages caused to the product by accidents, lightning or any other Acts of God are not covered by this warranty.
The warranty becomes void if the unit is tampered with, altered or repaired by unauthorised persons.
The warranty becomes void if the serial number of the product is defaced or altered, rendering it difficult to identify the instrument.
The warranty does not cover shipping costs for returning the product to Red Magic. We do not pay for delivery upon arrival of your returned product, and packages where insufficient postage has been paid will be rejected or sent back to the buyer.
After inspection for repairment/replacement, Red Magic will cover any shipping costs for sending the product back to the buyer should the product meet the criteria set out in the warranty.
The Red Magic warranty for Indiegogo may not apply in all cases, depending on factors such as use of the product, where the product was purchased, or who you purchased the product from. Please review the warranty carefully, and contact support@redmagic.gg if you have any questions.
Return Policy
You can return your Red Magic smartphone (hereinafter referred to as “product”) for quality reason within 15 days from the day you received it.
When returning the product to us we recommend you obtain proof of posting, and send us the tracking info in order to ensure a smooth return and refund process.
We will usually make any refunds using PayPal. The money should be returned within 10 days.
Return Products Requirement
If you need to make a return, the product must be returned in a reasonable condition along with any packaging, manuals, accessories, free items and any other components. Only under these conditions can we provide a refund in accordance with our returns policy.
In all cases, we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify any fault. For an exchange or refund, the product must be in otherwise “as new” condition and if possible with the original packaging. We therefore reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the product returned is deemed to have been damaged.
Order Cancellation
You can contact our customer service via support@redmagic.gg if you would like to cancel your order. Once your order has been processed and shipped, cancellation will not be possible.

1. What should I do if my parcel was damaged upon delivery?
If you’ve noticed that your parcel is damaged when you sign for it, please request the courier to make a remark on the shipping label. Please keep the original packaging and contact us as soon as possible at support@redmagic.gg. When you contact us, be sure to include pictures and evidence along with your claim. Once we obtain all of the relevant information it will usually take five business days to process.
2. How can I track my order?
Our customer service will send an email to you with tracking information.
3. What languages are provided in the phone? (Red Magic OS and Android)
They both included languages that are the ones provided by stock android for the system languages.
4. I’m from North America. Where can I use the voucher? Will there be a store on the website in the near future?
The voucher will include two special codes for our redmagic.gg web store (opening soon): One for getting the Red Magic phone at $399 and the other for a $50 discount off all accessories and gear.
5. Why are there shipping costs for the voucher?
We will be sending you a physical voucher card.
