A twisted tale that will hook you
from the very beginning!!!!
This is a team that has worked together in the past to produce great work and this project will be no different – it will be an amazing testament to the amount of effort that all of us are willing to put in to it. No amount of hard work or effort is too much for us because filmmaking is close to our hearts and when we are passionate about a project this team goes all in.
We have all been given the unique ability in our specific program of study to not only act, but to produce and create films - this is something that we have all fallen passionately in love with. We believe we can effectively apply these skills to produce from inception a great quality short film that will be engaging to audiences and leave them wanting more.
Again, this is a project that is very close to all of our hearts and we really do not want finances to be a reason that it cannot happen. We really do need as much help as possible and cannot do this without the support of you guys. Any type of contribution is welcomed and brings us $1 closer to achieving our dreams!!!

VISION:
Remnants... is a psychological thriller/horror that unfolds over a weekend at the cottage with a group of friends. Deciding to move past a traumatic event, they have one last weekend get together at the very spot that changed their lives forever. Upon arrival, things are amiss and one by one they begin to regret the decision to come back. By the time they have changed their minds however, its too late and they have to endure one nightmare after another.
We envision a film that calls upon horror films of old - playing on the mind rather than the typical horror that you see today which always falls back on excessive blood and gore. As stated above, this film is about a group of friends simply hanging out at a cottage when their past creeps up on them. Using psychological and paranormal storylines, we have created a twisted story that will leave you wanting to watch it more than once. Taking advantage of camera angles and simple effects, we want to leave viewers on the edge of their seats, feeling just as terrified as our characters in the film. Great films do not require large budgets and we want to show that with this film.
WHY THIS FILM IS IMPORTANT:
This film is incredibly important to us because we believe that we are the future faces of the industry. The entertainment industry is changing in a way that actors are creating opportunities for themselves rather than waiting around for a call from their agent. Today, many actors, like ourselves, have begun creating their own content - content that they want to share and tell. This has also enabled actors to become multifaceted, being able to not only act, but also be able to do many behind the camera jobs - this is something that all four of us have become accustom to. Being proactive is definitely something that you need to be in the entertainment industry and this is an opportunity to do so and also to show our creativity to the world!
All of us want to share our passion of filmmaking with others and being able to be involved in many different aspects of filmmaking is something we work hard at - this is a film that we will all be proud of! We believe that anyone can follow their dreams and we want to take our talents and passions out into the world to hopefully inspire others to follow their dreams as well.
WHAT ARE WE DOING:
This film is being shot at a cottage in the Muskoka area at the end of May 2018. The creative team, along with a team of talented crew members will travel to the location for a 3 day shoot. While we are there, we will be staying at the cottage and filming the whole time. We are taking up 2 vehicles with our crew, equipment and craft services. Location permits have already been signed off on, and we are already deep into pre-production working on finalizing what equipment is best for this project and also making sure that all precautions have been taken for an on location shoot. Because we are on location, one of the big things we have to factor into the expense of this film will be transportation cost for the crew and the gear.
