$60,000 unlocked!
Thanks to our glorious fans and contributors, we've reached our initial goal of $60k! That covers the costs of post-production on part one of "The Requiem," and we now set our sights on $150,000 to cover all costs for both parts - including post-production for part two, the big finale.
STRETCH GOALS
Now that we've reached our initial goal of $60,000 to fund post production on part one of The Requiem, we've set our sights on further goals, on the way to funding everything we need with a total of $150,000. Here are those stretch goals.

Once we hit $80,000, we will release and post some exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the days on the set of Renegades. Interviews, bloopers, or just being a fly on the wall, recording how the magic is made! -- UNLOCKED!!

Once we hit $100k, we will release a hyper-speed montage of some behind-the-scenes set up and shooting videos from The Requiem! -- UNLOCKED!!

Once we hit $120k, we will release a video of the historic moment when Walter Koenig was "set wrapped" on this project that was 50 years in the making. It happened on the Icarus set on the final day of shooting, on August 10th. -- UNLOCKED!!

Once we hit $130k, we will release footage of a space battle between the Icarus and Romulan ships that we created months ago but now cannot use in The Requiem. This can longer be a part of Renegades: The Requiem, but we still want you to see it as an example of what is to come! -- UNLOCKED!!
Renegades
Renegades is a new and original science fiction series with jaw-dropping visual effects, incredible aliens and creatures, and a bold, edgy storyline - both in the short term (episodically) and for the duration of the series (seasonal arcs).
The award winning Renegades Team is made up of accomplished science fiction producers and filmmakers, as well as a cast of Star Trek and science fiction legends. This is the same group of professionals that brought you Star Trek: Renegades, the award winning independent fan funded feature length proof of concept pilot.
Plot
The Dirty Dozen goes interstellar in this exciting new ongoing Sci Fi series about a group of rogues, rebels, and outcasts who find themselves faced with the greatest threat the Confederation has ever encountered. With a man known only as the Admiral (Walter Koenig) heading up Confederation Intelligence and Kovok (Tim Russ) a part of the Confederation's clandestine Black Ops organization, they recruit Captain Lexxa Singh (Adrienne Wilkinson) and her rogue crew to do those missions that no one else can or will do. When the Confederation is threatened and standard protocol won’t work, it is up to this rag-tag group of Renegades to save them all.

Last December, we successfully funded the production of the first episode of this two-parter, "The Requiem." Rather than shooting just the one episode (part I) through that campaign, we stretched our donors' money to pay for most of the shooting of BOTH parts (I & II) and the beginning of post production, with stunning visual effects.
Now that we have proven our resourcefulness in stretching donors' dollars, we'd like the opportunity to prove it again. We now need to fund post-production on both parts of "The Requiem."
*Our initial goal is $60,000 to fund post-production on part one. Once we've reached that goal, our second goal will be to reach $150,000 to fund the rest of post-production on part two, and to help with the final two days of production (for both parts). And we've got a ton of amazing perks for your donations.
What is Post-Production?
Post production is everything that goes on between principle photography of the episodes and distribution:
-
Editing. Cutting and splicing all of the video into two coherent episodes.
-
Sound. Adding sound effects, additional voices, ambience, reactions, voice-overs, etc..
-
Visual effects. Thousands of man hours are spent in creating ships, planets, and sets, and then animating them flawlessly onto the screen.
-
Compositing. Much of our shoot was done in front of a green screen. That means countless hours will be spent compositing all of that green screen into breath-taking backgrounds and life-like backdrops.
-
Scoring. We will be creating a completely original and beautiful soundtrack to overlay throughout the two episodes.

With the climate of Star Trek and its fan films changing, comes the emergence of a new era in independent sci-fi filmmaking. Renegades is on the forefront of that wave. Ever-improving technology, growth of the internet, and an explosion of online content distribution have paved the way for filmmakers to create new and powerful movies and series that can rival the enormous multi-billion dollar Hollywood production companies.
Renegades is also exactly the type of series that can easily be picked up by any one of these many online distribution sites. And with our aggressive and experienced production team, it's sure to do just that once completed.
Fan-Funding
This new era of online distribution also opens the door to fan-funding. That's were you come in. You now have control over what is being created, what is being produced, and what is available to be seen.
Through fan-funding, you take the reigns of what is made and what is not, and you take ownership of what you believe is put out for public consumption. Please consider taking the reigns with us, and making Renegades a reality.
How to Help
-
Donate. Donate for a memory of a lifetime, or for a small show of support - it's up to you. But when you do donate, please do so as soon as possible - people always prefer to jump on a moving train, and if a project already has a lot of donations, people are more likely to be swayed to donate as well.
