Our Vision
These limited-edition enamel lapel pins are wearable statements to help cope with the current toxic political environment; pieces to express hope and strength. Pins from reSISTERS are pretty and meaningful things to wear, and maybe even a new way to break the ice and connect with like-minded strangers!
In addition to providing people with beautiful trinkets to express their beliefs, this project is a creative outlet for us to stay positive, motivated, and engaged. The proceeds from each sale will be donated to support an important and timely social cause through reputable organizations that are advocating for and protecting marginalized groups.
Who are reSISTERS?
We're two friends (Tameeka & Rachel) who live in New York City. We met about a decade ago at work. Between us, our professional lives have spanned design, sales, marketing, and management. We're ladies that get things done, and this time we're using our skills to guide a passion project.

Our Plan
We are crowdfunding for our initial start-up costs of $2,200. If we meet our goal, the money raised will be used to manufacture most, if not all of the designs you see here. We are also working on more designs for which we will fund production with our initial sales. In addition to producing the pins, money raised will go towards packaging, promotion, and of course, donations to social causes that need the support now more than ever.
This campaign is to fund production and get things stared. Once the designs are produced, we will sell the pins online. All proceeds from these sales will be donated.
Potential Challenges
We will have to order minimum quantities for each design. If we are unable to fund all of the minimums up front, we may not be able to produce all of the designs right away. We may need to follow a scaled approach where we sell a few preliminary designs to fund more designs. We also will need to invest time in promotion, through social media, and with our contacts in various influential communities to generate interest.
In the event that we reach only 25% of our goal by the end of our campaign, we will donate the all funds to the social causes we have selected for this project; this includes Planned Parenthood, ACLU,The TREVOR PROJECT, SPLC, etc. If we reach only 50% of our goal we will still produce the Exclusive Normalize Empathy Teal Pin for our backers who donated $20 or more. Any leftover funds will be donated.
