Short Summary
I've been singing for most of my life--I have sung in most venues in Vancouver, BC and spent a few years travelling all over the province playing rock, R&B, blues and jazz with many different musicians.
I've spent the last couple of years getting this recording together - and, with the help of a lot of very talented friends, it's complete. We recorded the (mostly original) tracks at Strait Sound and SRS Studios with: Sacha Fassaert - guitar/bass; Paul Steenhuis - guitar/bass/additional synth; Walter Martella - Keyboards; Doug Howden - drums; Karen Graves - Sax/backing vox; Susann Richter - backing vocals. The project has been engineered and mastered by Paul Steenhuis. Photography by Marlene Lowden
Songs on the CD are a mix of blues, jazz-tinged R&B (or is that R&B tinged jazz?) and pop. Most are written by myself with a great deal of arranging help from Sacha Fassaert. I've also included a couple of covers:Cold Cold Heart which is one of my favourite Hank Williams songs and the Beatles Black Bird which has a gorgeous acoustic guitar track by Paul Steenhuis.
To complete the recording I traded personal training services, knitted things and cooked dinners... grovelled, borrowed and begged. OK, I didn't really have to do any of the last part -- I have very talented and generous friends who spent a lot of time on this project.

What I Need & What You Get
I'm really excited to share this project with you. What I need now is to get copies made--the hard costs of reproducing, printing/packaging. It would also be helpful to have some money for promotion and a cd release.
For your $20 donation you'll receive a copy of the completed CD and my undying gratitude.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far (here and in person)--your help is much appreciated!
Other Ways You Can Help
Every little bit helps! If you can't contribute cash--please pass the word and I'll make sure you get an invite to the cd release and any future gigs--I hope to be touring in the near future!
