Restless is a psychological thriller that dramatizes the danger of improper prescription practices in an entertaining and thrilling way. This film hopes to shed a light on the dangers of negligence among mental health practitioners while also keeping audiences entertained.
This project is a collaboration between writer/director Hayes Tufts and actor/artist Andrew Rowe. It was inspired by the improper prescription practices that Andrew endured as a teenager. After research into the medical professionals that showed carelessness when prescribing these medications, it was found that many other people experienced the same negligence, some of which had devastating effects on their physical and mental health. This story is dramatized and meant to be entertaining but it also has elements of truth that are not often talked about. Medication can be amazing and have life-changing benefits when prescribed properly, however, when they are improperly prescribed and medical professionals don't care to listen to how it is making their patients feel, it can have costly effects.
