'Reticence' is an original film that follows Charlotte, a young girl who struggles to connect with the people around her as she is constantly shunned due to being hard of hearing. However, her whole world view is shifted when she’s left home alone during a devastating unexplainable attack, an attack that affects all those who can hear. Struggling to decipher the situation around her, Charlotte begins to feel overwhelmingly confused and begins to ask the question; How do you live in a world without people.
‘Reticence’ is a story for those who feel like they’ve been left behind by people who view them as broken or unnatural. Charlotte’s experience in the world of ‘Reticence’ reflects the helplessness that comes with not being able to help yourself, help that sometimes isn’t offered by those responsible enough to lend a hand.
Our story’s cosmic elements aim to stand as a representation of the mistreatment people that people with disabilities may experience in our real world. The alien situation looking to provide an insight into the loneliness that comes with lacking important human connections.
