What is Rise

"Rise"  tells the story of the Visigoth peasant Caelius who lives within the Roman Empire. We see his character, besought by grief, set out on his quest for revenge.

Minuteman Productions is a small production team from Northern New Jersey which has been working together since middle school.  Now college students, we are excited to begin work on our biggest project yet!  "Rise" represents a shift for our production team, working on creating an engaging story and dynamic characters without an extended runtime. 

What We Need 

To make "Rise" a highly successful reality, we need $1000 to cover all production costs. 

The most prominent cost is renting a 5D Mark iii camera to record our film in an uncompressed RAW format. This will up the quality of our film to the look of a professional film.

Another cost we need to consider is location insurance, which will allow our cast and crew to legally film in the locations we have chosen. 

Smaller production costs such as food, transportation, and costumes are very important and have been factored into the Indiegogo budget as well.

The Impact

"Rise" describes the universal need for revolution, told through the historical context of a successful Roman revolution. 

"Rise" is also a revolution for us, a chance to refocus our ethos towards meaningful action and real world emotions and characters.  It has been our dream since coming together as a team to create a film of professional quality, using the highest quality equipment, independent writers, and a broader base of acting talent to create a true masterpiece.
