Synopsis

For road crews on tour across the planet, every day life is a mixture of sweat, guts, and stardust. A place where glamour collides with working class grit. Where hi-tech meets low life. Where temptation and excess are forever in battle with loyalty and discipline.

Who are the roadies lurking in the shadow of the modern rock star? Where do they come from, why do they do it? And most of all, where are they going next?

'"ROADIE: The Documentary" sets out to answer these burning questions and lift the red curtain; revealing an all access glimpse at the moving parts of thee world's last, great, blue-collar-army and the front lines of rock and roll.

The Inception

Coming off my last tour, I began writing a book on how I (just a kid from Jersey) was lucky enough to travel the world and share BACKSTAGE with some of the biggest bands in the world. I realized that words on paper just wasn't giving the story enough justice. I needed to SHOW you, not just tell you. So in turn, I decided to turn the book into a FILM.

ROADIE interviews: both musicians and production crews from such acts as Guns-N-Roses, Elton John, The Eagles, Offspring, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, David Bowie, The Ramones, and many more. ROADIE is the backstage pass that reveals a look behind the curtain that has never before been shown. Going as far back to the 1970's, we talk to ROADIES who were THERE. They were the driving force behind making live music what it is today.
