We at Sandcastle Pictures have been working in the film industry in various capacities for the last decade, but this will be our first venture into
the world of feature films. While we are fans of all genres, we decided making a horror film would be the most fun, and the most commercially marketable.
We also know horror fans are some of the most passionate people in the world, and it is our hope to rally you to our cause, which is to make a kick ass movie that promises to terrorize, while telling a good story with important themes!
We go into production on Saturday, July 26th! We want you to come along for the ride! Throughout the campaign, and after it concludes, we will be updating you on our progress. You will be with us on this journey, while we make this film, and in the end, for only a contribution of $10, you can experience the final product!

The name "Sandcastle Pictures" grew from the idea that film-making
can be likened to a child building a sandcastle on a beach, creating
new worlds and possibilities from their vast, uninhibited imagination.
Within a celluloid tapestry there are literally endless possibilities to explore and
new paths to discover. We are simply three big kids at heart, wishing to
bring this same enthusiasm and sense of wonder to the films we produce.
Sandcastle Pictures was created to produce
professional, thought provoking content that its viewers can count on
to entertain. But then we said, screw it and started creating awesome
action, horror and comedy shorts to entertain.
Over the past 4 years,
we have produced 9 shorts from
differing genres and now we are ready to take the next step in producing our
first feature film. But this time we are combining an awesome horror film with
thought provoking content that is guaranteed to entertain! Ahh??? See how we brought it back?

liken ourselves to the team behind THE EVIL DEAD, who took what they
had into the woods, and created something unlike anyone had ever seen.
Now we can't promise our careers are going to pan out
like Sam Raimi's and the Coen Brothers's did, but if they dooooooo... don't you want to

THE PLOT OF OUR FIRST FEATURE IS...
Six friends venture to a
remote island off the Washington coast to celebrate the fourth of July, but their expectations for a harmless weekend filled with fun and partying goes awry when one of the drugs they take spawns a horrifying trip filled with chaos and murder. Only
the friend who refused to take the drug is spared and they must now
fight to stay alive as everyone around them, including their fiancé,
attempts to kill them. Their only hope may be a rookie detective who has been on the trail of the sadistic right wing terrorist organization that secretly engineered this bio-active drug that transforms everyone who takes it into
ravenous psychopaths.

The amount we HOPE to raise here is $50,000 which

The bare minimum we need to make the film is $300,000. We already have
$200,000 in equity and we are working towards raising another

Dalj brings
his small town values to an industry that is larger than life. Since
the inception of Sandcastle Pictures in 2010 Dalj has produced 9 short
films and is ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime by producing
his first feature. Working with his close friends and business
partners, Michael and Jason, Dalj believes that their combined talents
will ensure a stellar production that will catapult Sandcastle Pictures
to the next level.
Michael Gyori - Technical DirectorMichael
has always been inspired by films and is constantly amazed by how they
continually change his perception of the world. If you combine his love
of film and his fascination with the latest digital technologies, you
have the perfect storm. For Michael filmmaking is more than just a
career, it's a calling. Michael believes that Sandcastle Pictures is
poised to do great things in the industry and can't wait for the ride.
Jason William Lee - Writer/Director
Ever
since his first excursion to the movie theatre as a kid, Jason has
lived and breathed films. It's his belief that motion pictures have the
power to not only entertain, but also to change human perspectives and
transform culture. For Jason, it has been a lifelong dream to direct a
feature film and teaming up with Sandcastle Pictures is the first step
in seeing that dream come to fruition. With this project, Jason intends
to create a high quality film that gives Sandcastle Pictures the
credibility to produce many more in the future.

right now – making films that matter to us. Unfortunately, we do not
