Short Summary
Cancer Clinics International (CCI) is currently in the midst of treating
its first four patients. CCI must raise funds in order to continue saving
further lives.
These four clinical trials were funded by a generous donor. To continue
with additional cancer patients, all desperately awaiting treatment, we
urgently need your donations. (donations are fully tax deductible)
This campaign is raising funds on behalf of the Poor and Sick Fund, a verified nonprofit. All contributions are considered unrestricted gifts and can't be specified for any particular patient.
Jonas Salk worked tirelessly to invent a polio vaccine. In 1954, national testing began on one million children. On April 12, 1955 the vaccine was announced as safe and effective. The number of polio cases dropped from an average of 45,000 in the two years prior to the drug's availability to 910 cases in 1962. Salk never patented the vaccine, nor did he earn any money from his
discovery, preferring to see it distributed as widely as possible. (About Salk. 2013, para.8) We are a group of business persons who are similarly working to bring a cure for cancer into the world market. Neither we nor anyone else will own this new cure outside of the United States.
What We Need & What You Get
This drug was invented and developed at a prominent U.S. university in 2002. It has been patented and licensed in the United States, but the licensees have not been able to raise the funds to perform trials in the United States. Our team has a pathway to trials in Mexico or Europe. We must raise money to continue our clinical trials. Based on our current costs, $50,000 will save one to three lives. With continued successful clinical results, we will be able to attract further funding for large scale clinical
trials and thus obtain regulatory approval. Your tax-deductible contribution will help to save lives and will help to get this cure, like the polio vaccine, distributed as widely as possible.
The Impact
Cancer is usually treated with chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. The chances of surviving the disease vary greatly by the type and location of the cancer and the extent of disease at the start of treatment. While cancer can affect people of all ages, the risk of developing cancer generally increases with age. In 2007, cancer caused about 13% of all human deaths worldwide (7.9 million). Rates are rising as more people live to an older age and with lifestyle changes worldwide. (Bray, J.A.et.al. 2011) Cancer treatment is pushing our health care costs through the ceiling. Our drug, however, has the potential to eradicate cancer disease and its deleterious effects on families without the debilitating side effects of standard treatments..
