Ms. Julie Lake started Archway Recovery Services in 1996 to serve struggling members of our community and empower those with drug and alcohol addiction to seek clarity and use proven tools to contribute back.

Archway is a non-profit organization that relied for years on community donations and government funding. Ms.Julie and the Archway staff keep the doors open by maximizing all income, fundraising, and from the help of volunteers. Archway holds a festive themed Gala every October which raises funds for the program. Due to Ms.Julie's health issues last year Archway had to cancel it's 9th annual Gala leaving Archway without the yearly donations generated by the event.

Archway is in a transitional period. State funding for Alcohol and Drug addiction treatment is no longer a reliable source of revenue. This reinforced Archway's decision to transition into helping a community in desperate need: our youth.

The $11,000 goal will carry Archway through the first two weeks of February and help complete its provision of service to drug and alcohol addicted men. Revenue from the clean and sober living house will provide the income we need to make this transition to our new focus of service.

Our inability to host our annual Gala has contributed to this shortfall. We invite our community to contribute to Archway so we may continue to serve the people that desperately need our help, alcohol and drug addicted men, and soon, troubled children.

Upon completion of the men's residential program Archway will begin its necessary transition to help troubled youth in the region. Archway will provide a safe place and a nurturing environment for children who, through no fault of their own, have been victims of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.

This program has been, is, and with your help, will always be, about serving our community.

Below is a news article from Mike Corpos at "The Daily Repulic" referencing the 2013 Archway Gala.

Below are testimonials from volunteers, graduates, friends, and family of Archway.

"Being on the staff of Archway has been a miracle in my life. Watching the changes in the men's life on a daily basis has fulfilled and confirmed my belief in the potential of the human spirit. It has affirmed my belief that no matter how far down a human has gone, resurection is possible. I have witnessed deeply wounded, addicted men recover, get good jobs, restore their families and give back to their commuinities. Countless broken lives have become whole and healthy. That's why I call it a miracle. " -Carole Archway volunteer

"My life changed dramatically for the better once I came to Archway. When I first stepped through the door I felt like I was home. Even though I suffered many years with addiction and felt trapped, Archway for the first time gave me hope. It was this hope that drove me to succeed at life in ways I only dreamed about in the past. One of my greatest strengths is gratitude for my new life, and none am I more grateful to than Archway Recovery Services and Julie Lake." -Steve M. Archway graduate and volunteer

"Julie Lake, and all who work with Archway Recovery Services,  have been instrumental in saving lives. As a family member of a previous Archway client, I feel the program has brought our son back from a self-destructive path that surely would have ended in disaster. As witness to the love, patience and guidance the program offered we were able to watch our son become a healthy, productive man, a good father, and a great son.

The program not only offers the recovery services vital to this population, but it also provides educational opportunities for important skills such as communication, healthy life style choices, daily exercise, personal responsibility, and more.

Archway is an organization that truly has made a brilliant difference in this world. We are honored to be a small part of the "Archway" community. To see the faces of the men who graduate from the program, and to hear the stories of their families once again being whole, is to understand how the act of changing one life is truly the act of changing the lives of many.
Sincerely,

A. Todd"
