Over the past few years we have been working hard at Saygus to bring together world class partnerships and the absolute best technology.  The result is the V SQUARED, the smartphone designed with no compromises.  We have complete devices that have just been built by leading industry designers and manufacturers.  As we move to mass production we invite you to join the Saygus family.  A community of individuals who live without compromising and use technology to accelerate development in our everyday lives.

We launched an early registration at the beginning of this year to gain momentum and support from the tech community.  The response was overwhelming.  Saygus saw preorders from 54 countries with innumerable responses that helped us hone in our device.   Over the past few months we have been solidifying manufacturing partnerships and contracts and are now in a position to strongly move forward with production.

Chad Sayers - is the Founder of Saygus, and conceptual creator of the V SQUARED. He is a sales strategist with background experience in the cellular industry for the past 17 years.

Tim Riker - is the CTO and co-founder of Saygus and a Linux architecture coding specialist, known to Saygus as "The Guru".

Chris Baker - is the Vice President of Corporate Development and came aboard 6 years ago from Goldman Sachs with his own entrepreneurial experience.

Risks and Challenges

We have been working for the past few years to develop the V SQUARED.  We are past the development stages and are moving into manufacturing and distribution.

Along with building the best smartphone in the world comes challenges and obstacles.  Over the past year we have learned a lot from some of our mistakes and brought on world class partners in manufacturing, supply chain management, logistical distribution, and project management.  We have mitigated against any future delays by securing timelines with our vendor partners and working closely with our advisors to overcome challenges as quickly as they come at us.

While we undoubtedly will face more surprises and challenge on our journey, the Saygus team is prepared to tackle them!  Our goal is to make the highest quality smartphone possible and get it in your hands!

Which OS does the V SQUARED come with?

Android 5.1 Lollipop

Also, the multi-boot capability allows the user to boot to other OS/ROMs from one of the microSD cards. This functionality allows for the ability to try out different OS/ROMs without altering the Android OS on the V SQUARED. The user could  install other OS/ROMs on a microSD card and then reboot to that card instead of to the OS on the phone (Android).

How did the Saygus V SQUARED campaign get so big so quickly?

Earlier this year, we launched an early adopter pre-order for the V SQUARED on the Saygus.com website. We were blown away by the outcome, having raised over $800,000 from a truly loyal group of Saygus enthusiasts. 

Looking towards future growth, we've decided to work with Indiegogo to continue offering the V SQUARED to an amazing community of technology early adopters and gain additional exposure. Upon moving our pre-orders to Indiegogo, we've combined our preorder campaign with our current Indiegogo offering to show the total support of the Saygus V SQUARED. We're humbled by the growing enthusiasm we've received from fans, and can't wait to get these phones in your hands. 

Where is the phone now?

We've spent several years building an finalizing the production of the Saygus V SQUARED. Currently, the phone has been built, it’s functioning well and we are currently in the final stages of wrapping up quality assurance testing. Over the next few weeks you'll see some reviews highlighting the amazing features of our device. We're excited to share them with you, so please check back to our campaign page as we'll post these in updates as they are released.

What is WirelessHD (WiHD)?

WirelessHD (WiHD) is a technology that provides consumers with seamless wireless connectivity between digital source devices. In the case of the V SQUARED, the user can beam full HD content (movies, games, any content on the phone) from the V SQUARED to an HDTV -- wirelessly. There is a chip on the V SQUARED that beams content to a receiver connected to an HDMI port on an HDTV. The wireless receiver is available with our "1 - V SQUARED Collector's Pack". We will also offer for purchase a receiver device via our website in the coming weeks. Which cellular bands will the V SQUARED work on?

The V SQUARED will work on all the carrier networks in the world.

GSM: Quad band(850/900/1800/1900MHz)

CDMA: 850/1900MHz

UMTS: Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8

LTE: Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 40

Will I be able to pick a color when I order?

We are launching the V SQUARED in pink, grey, and white (as pictured above). Prior to shipping we will email you with your color preference and you can choose between the three.

Will the V SQUARED be available internationally?

Yes! The V SQUARED will work on initially on international GSM networks – just drop in your current SIM card and the V SQUARED will work on your current GSM network. We anticipate the V SQUARED will go through other worldwide carrier lab certification processes and be available on these networks in coming months.

Will the V SQUARED be available on Verizon or Sprint as well as other CDMA carriers networks?

The V SQUARED will go through the Verizon, and separately , the Sprint (CDMA networks) labs respectively, to be certified on these networks before they will be available to CDMA subscribers.  The V SQUARED will be available on Verizon after it has completed the Verizon certification. Before then, however, the V SQUARED will first be available “unlocked” for customers on GSM networks worldwide. GSM networks comprise more than 80% of the cellular networks in the world today.

Which network carriers will the V SQUARED run on?

Initially, the V SQUARED will be available “unlocked” and work on US domestic and international GSM networks. You will simply put your current SIM card into your new V SQUARED to activate it. The V SQUARED will eventually go through various network carrier certification processes to be certified on their respective networks.

Does Saygus have a Warranty, Return or Service Policy?

The V SQUARED has a one year manufacturer's warranty of parts and labor and the device is replaceable in the event of any manufacturers defect.

The  warranty does not begin until the V SQUARED is received by the purchaser. If you are not satisfied with the V SQUARED for any reason, you may return it no later than the 14th day after it was delivered to you with the postage stamp dated no later than the 14th day for a full refund. However, return shipping will need to by paid by the customer if the V SQUARED is being permanently returned.

In the event that your phone has a defect, it should be returned immediately to the address provided to you as the "warranty center" which will be determined by your specific country, region or state. These warranty locations may also be made available for your review on our website prior to shipping. Some high level defects may require a different, yet specific, shipping address which will be provided to you in the owner's manual or online during or around the shipping process time. Saygus will then send a replacement unit out to you, and cover the shipping costs, the same day it is received, if at all possible should the defect fault be ours.

For those who receive the V SQUARED and for some reason do not like it, but who have used it, there will be a $39 restocking "opened package" fee upon return. Any return of unopened V SQUARED packages will not be charged a restocking fee. Thank you for understanding. We will always work to do right by you and we hope you will be fair with us. We believe we need to prove ourselves to you and show each valued customer that we have earned the trust placed in us one experience at a time.
