#ScullysDesk

In over 25 years of chasing aliens, doing autopsies, and putting up with the patriarchy, Special Agent Dana Scully somehow doesn't have a desk in the fabled basement office. Most recently at New York Comic Con, Carter mentioned that we would not see Scully with a desk in season 11 - and this might be our last chance! Thus, Scully's fans are taking up a petition to get our fierce feminist icon a desk by sharing our desks with her until Fox and the X-Files team hear our plea and add this important prop to her and Mulder's FBI office. Dr. Dana Scully deserves better - and so does Gillian Anderson, the actress who brings her to life.

"Pick Up The Phone & Make It Happen" - How This Works
How can you share your desk with Scully? By getting a custom "Dana Scully - Special Agent" name plate, of course! Instructions:
- Order your name plate right here - $12 plus shipping
- Take a selfie with your name plate, tell us what Scully means to you (example: did she inspire you to become a scientist? Take a pic in the lab!), and display it proudly on your desk at home or at work. Don't work at a desk? Put it on a table, shelf, or next to your TV/computer!
- Then tweet/Facebook/Instagram/Tumblr your pics and your thoughts using the #ScullysDesk hashtag. Make sure to tag Gillian Anderson (@GillianA), the official X-Files account (@thexfiles), your fellow Philes and Gillian fans
- Tweeting Scully's fellow agents, David Duchovny (@DavidDuchovny) and Mitch Pileggi (@MitchPileggi1) can't hurt either!
- Tell others where to go (right here!) to get their own name plate.
- What do the name plates look like? They look like this:

Do you want to add your voice to this campaign but don't want to buy a name plate? That is fine! Retweet us and use our #ScullysDesk hashtag. Want to donate to Taught Not Trafficked without getting a name plate? Go for it! But make sure you tell us so we can add you to our virtual total.
This campaign is about visibility - the character of Scully deserves the professional courtesy of a desk, and the fact that she doesn't have one in 2017 causes us to raise a skeptical eyebrow. Plus it makes her partner, Mulder, and her boss, Skinner, look like they don't care. We aren't asking for a lot - this is an easy fix and could have happened in 2016's season 10. Representation matters and it is important for all the women (and men!) who grew up with Scully to see her being treated equally.
